Hi,

At the end of July Dh and myself are having 2 nights @ SSR with the dining plan, then we go on the 7 night DCL western cruise, after which we have 5 more nigts @ SSR.

We I love planning and my DH is more of a free spirit. I have made our ADRs for the 2 days when we are on the dining plan.

My question is this, when we get back from the cruise we dont have any Adrs, infact for the 5 days we wont know what we are doing until the day.
If we fancy a ts meal, if we went down to guest services @ SSR on the morning would they be able to search to see if there are any Adrs available for that day through out WDW?

I know walk ups are hard to get.
Thanks for your help

Certainly,

You can go to the concierge, call Disney Dining, or use Guest services in the parks, per a recording I heard when I called Disney Dining.

When we were there, I went to the concierge and changed an existing ADR (at that time of course) to an earlier time with no problems. They told me what was available and I made my choice.

Also, they will/can give you a print out of that reservation.

Dining ressies (ADR) or inquiries can be made
. . . any resort Lobby Concierge
. . . any park Guest Services
. . . the Guest Relations desk at Downtown Disney
. . . by calling 407-WDW-DINE

NOTE: All of the above use the same dining software, so there is no benefit of one over the other. The only exception is that a concierge on the Club Floor can sometimes get entry to a restaurant AT THEIR RESORT when that restaurant is sold out.

The lobby concierge desk at SSR will tell you what is available and try to help. If you have your heart set on a particular restaurant at a particular time...it might be "dream on." However, if your goal is a TS at a particular park or a particular resort and you are flexible about the time, they can probably find something that will suit you. The earlier in the day that you call dining or the concierge desk, the better chance you have.

In May, there were signs posted at Guest Services at some of the parks stating that there was NO dining availability at any restaurant in that park for that day. This replaced the sign that listed the restaurants and hours of operation. We did see guests turned away at the individual restaurant podiums on several occasions. However, we had great success with making ADRs for the same day (DD changed her mind about where she wanted to go) and witnessed other guests having success--even at some of the restaurants being suggested as hard to get.

So....as soon as you know what you want, call Disney Dining or go to the concierge desk at SSR. We love SSR...by the way. Tell them what your parameters are--a specific park, a specific time, or just a "sit down dinner" somewhere.

Another thought...Planet Hollywood doesn't take same day ADRs, but we were told that walk ups before 7 pm are usually taken quickly. We were told there would be a 20 minute wait, and it was actually more like 5 minutes.
