Would a man appreciate a fan?

Thought about making the mickey fans but thought that might stretch my artistic capability- there is a limit to my skills!

so i thought about just some normal fans in wedding colours but wondered if this is something that the guys would actually use?

We got married in August and I will say YES. The men used them as much as the women. Randy even got a photo of one of the men playing with the fan...pretty cute. But if it's warm, trust me, all guests will appreciate the fan !

I too thought about Mickey fans/programmes but decided against them. I decided I wanted seperate programmes and fans and, like you was concerned about artistic ability!! I had no doubt I could design them but without a proper machine was not convinced that I could cut them out very well. I am a bit of a perfectionist and knew I would get frustrated!!!
So I have decided to go with seperate programmes and have puchased white paddle fans like the ones below. I will tie a bow in one of our colours around the handle. Admittidly, they are not as much fun as the Mickey head ones, but are simple and elegant I think. I don't know if the men will use them but they will be there for them if they want to.

I have bought white feather fans for the ladies only. Didn't think men would appreciate them as much. Could be wrong though x

You know, I also thought about feather fans too!! They would go beautifully with my Swan theme but I am not sure how to give the fans just to the ladies. Are you having a groomsman give the feather fans to just the ladies?

I bought some simple white fans from ebay - they were very inexpensive too.

I don't have the time to make personal ones and as they didnt cost much I am not particularly bothered if they are not used!

I am going to put them on the ceremony chair x

So will there be a seating plan for your ceremony?
I am not sure I can be certain that my guests will sit where I think they will!!! So it may be that a man sits at a place where there is a fan for a lady, he picks up the fan and a lady goes without!!
I think it would be too complicated for me!!! I am thinking I will stick with the white paddle fans for the guests, and order myself a really nice white feather fan for that I can use myself during the cake/champagne reception, which will be outside and may be hot!!
Thanks for your help!!

We only have 9 guests so shouldn't be too much of a problem. Not having a seating plan. I guess i will just tell the men not to sit where a fan is. Mind you there are only 3 men lol.
God i'm thinking now i should have got the men fans.......

I know these boards are like that!!
You just think you have it all planned in your head and somebody comes up with an idea and you think 'Cripes, perhaps I should do that too!!!'

Just rang DF to ask him and he thinks men won't need one. He said he personally wouldn't use one, and our ceremony is really short (about 10 minutes) It was just an extra gift to give the ladies. Still thinking though lol

I'm thinking about my DF, brother and step-father, if they sat somewhere where there was a fan, they would give it to one of us. I know none of them would use them but they wouldn't just hold onto them and let the ladies go without. I think you should be ok!
