worthwhile souvenirs

We're not the souvenir buying type we have bought a number of really nice coffee cups. We use them everyday and enjoy the memories they invoke.

We buy at least two every time!!! We love them! I even found a Disneyland mug at the Outlet store in Gurnee IL when I was there for a Navy graduation. It was a Jessica Rabbit Hawaiian themed that we had never seen before.

I am a fan of souvenirs I can use rather than just little things that collect dust. I love collecting Disneyland coffee cups for this reason. At WDW I got a Dole Whip air freshener that's lost its scent so maybe next time I'm in DL I'll grab one!

We always love the kitchenware at Disney. We always try to pick up a few things every time we go! Best place we found to get them was at a store in DCA. Can't remember which one though.

I bought a large coffee cup last trip and I usually use it for water, I'm not sure I've ever drank coffee out of it! :rotfl2: I love it, I use it every day.

Also, have you seen the Dole Whip air fresheners at DL? If so, where? I'd love to buy one on our upcoming trip! That would be a fun buy!

Ah yes, Dooney Bourke....

I would go for watches..... I love watches.

And kitchen goods, plates and crystal after that.

Where do you buy these purses at? And roughly how much are they?? SO CUTE!!:)

I m sure the purses are 45 dollars. That is what I plan on telling my husband. :cool1: I NEED one of them.

We love to get a coffee cup and always get a refrigerator magnet. As far as money no object..... Hmmm, probably a birthstone ring and then really nice sweatshirts for the whole family! I don't really go for the less practical souvenirs!

My wife loves snow globes so she always gets one with the year inside it as keepsakes. I'm a HUGE Cars fan so anything related to that gets me in big trouble; but I usually settle for t-shirts. We also collect the Cone-shaped drinking containers from the Cozy Cone and milkshake glasses from Flo's; as well as a photo album with the year on it to store our pictures.

I bought mine from Seaside Souvenirs and I also saw them at World of Disney.

The last time we were there, my husband bought me one of the Haunted Mansion Dooney & Burke purses. I love it; am using it right now.
If money were no object, I would buy a lovely piece of art work to hang in my living room.

For awhile is was a pin each trip. Would take me the whole trip to find just the right one. Then key chains. Usually this is a gift from my oldest DD. Then onto coffee mugs, just got the last one in the Coffee House line. DD asked the whole trip what I'm going to collect now. I have no idea but I'm sure I'll find something, lol.

If money were no object? The beautiful, framed canvases of the Castle and Attractions. I thought I'd start buying the signs, pricey but somewhat doable if done over time but they are very flat looking. I think I'll eventually get the prints but for now I've settled for the poster pack.

How much does any of that cost, particularly low end?

The poster pack? It was $20. I haven't pulled them out yet. Bought them late last night on our way out and just rolled in at home. I will let you know once I get a chance to look at them.

These exist?! I hope to find one next time I'm in Disneyland! Now if they only made ones that smelled like Soarin...

If money was no object I would buy all the art I could fit in my suitcase! I love looking at the figures and pictures in the World of Disney. I would also buy a Vera Bradley duffle and one of those themed throws. I always admire them but never can justify the purchase.

The only thing I bought in December was a Vera Wang Hipster bag. I wanted something to hold the bare minimum to keep on me during the day. I never got to use it inside the parks since I waited until our last morning to go to DTD and shop. Can't wait to use it in a few weeks when we go back.

My husband picked out a Christmas ornament for our tree. He loved the idea that each year we could reminisce over how wonderful our trip was. I may buy another when we go back again.

I am thinking coffee cups might be a good collection. We will use them and we don't have a matching set of mugs... if I start buying these at least they will have a matching theme. :)
