Worth the Cash for Touring Help Websites?

Just wondering if it is worth the extra cash for some of the websites that advertise Tour Plan help? TOURGUIDEMIKE is $21.95 minus the $3 for being a DISBOARD memeber. TOURINGPLANS is about $7.00.
I've seen a lot of great sites like ALLEARSNET and INTERCOT and the DIS site and WDWTODAY with good information. What extra am I getting by throwing a couple bucks at these pay sites?

Thanks for your opinions,

Maz

I'd go for TGM. touringplans.com is the Unofficial Guide on the computer, but it doesn't have as much detailed information. Althogh, I suggest you get the Unofficial Guide in addition to TGM, because it's extremely interesting and very well written and researched.

Hey Maz,

I went with touring plans, I thought TGM was a little too expensive. Keep in mind I'm probably very anal retentive and a member of over planners anonymous :rotfl: So I tend to do research out the wazoo. I think you will find all the information you need on the sites you listed along with the great info Dissers here give out. I did like the rating system that touring plans uses to describe crowd levels and wait times but I think with a little effort even a novice to WDW can get great information for free.

Well, I got the touringplans one, and I think it is pretty great for what I paid. BUT, I have not been there to use it yet ;) I just think that on paper the plans seem to be a great schedule for us to follow, there were lots of choices for each park (as in plans for people with and without children, late arrival, one or 2 day plans for each park), and I have read some really great reviews from people who used them. I may still go ahead and do the one from TGM so I can compare them, but we'll see. I was a bit put off by the price...I am cheap :teeth:

I loved TGM :thumbsup2 . His advice on which days to go to each park, in addition to advice on where to sit at shows and restaurants, in addition to where to stand when waiting to get on rides, etc was well worth the $18.95 I paid. I will resign soon to get advice on my upcoming (344 days!) trip.

I completely agree! :thumbsup2 TGM is awesome and well worth the $19 it cost to join. Yes, some of the info can be found here or other websites. But he still has a lot of info that you're not going to find anywhere else. I like the fact that touring WDW is his career, so I fully trust his advice. He does this on a daily basis :sunny:

TGM, well worth it. I have been to WDW about 15 or so times, and his site I find to still be great.

I agree about TGM. I feel very confident that we have come up with a good touring plan and he gives many many great tips for how to go about certain things.

Another vote for TGM - especially if you are going during a peak season. I am a planning tornado, but I still find Mike's "insider" knowledge helpful. Good luck.

TGM is definitely the way to go. I used the advice from Touring Plans as to which days to visit which parks, and we experienced the most crowds ever. I compared those days to what TGM recommended, and TGM was the total opposite! Not to mention the crowd level indicator for Touring Plans was waaay off.

TGM all the way! What's $18 compared to the thousands you spend for a WDW vacation? If you spend one less hour in line it'll have been worth it. :)
