Weekend getaway to the world this upcoming december..going with two newbies..so trying to experience as much as we can in the 2 days we have at the park. FINALLY found a ressie for ohana.. but wondering if it would be worth it.

Schedule:
Day 1: 9am-2pm AK ... park hop .... MK until close (10pm) --trying to get a BOG ressie for this day.

Day 2: 9am-2pm EP ... park hop .... HS until close (EMH, 10pm) we have a ohana ressie for 9:25pm.. so my question is, would you leave the park early to eat at ohana? if you're only there for 2 days?

Are your friends big foodies? 'Ohana is an absolute must-do for DH and I, but we've been to WDW lots of times so we don't feel pressured to ride/see everything every time. Any chance you could hit 'Ohana the night before?

I guess it would depend on what I wanted to do at HS, but Ohana dinner was one of mine and my husband's favorite meals ever in Disney!

I haven't been to Ohana since 2012! So I'd like to hit it again, I'm the foodie in the group so I'd either like to pick up Ohana or BOG! But at the same time I've never squeezed disney into 2 days lol, been at least 15 times, but I'd like my friends to get the right experience! So its a tough spot! Ideally I'd like to get a ressie for Ohana the night of arrival, that way we have as much park time as possible, but nothing has turned up! I'm hoping we can find something, we have 3 & a half months to possibly pick up a different one!

I would do it. O'Hana is so much fun and 6 hours is more than plenty of time to experience what is left at DHS right now.

I wouldn't eat at 'Ohana if I had a MONTH at WDW.

Food perfectly ordinary, and atmosphere--none whatsoever. Just loud and noisy shouting and screaming.

Where are you staying? Might can do a breakfast at O'hana on checkout day or something.
Another option that you may be unaware of is if you're staying at the Polynesian you can order 'Ohana from room service. $40 per person, so if you're not huge eaters yo might could get by with ordering for two and eat at your leisure

I would not. Each time I've had an ADR at O'Hana we've still had to wait 20-60 minutes. With only 2 days in the parks, I would stick to CS.

Same here. The wait is ridiculous and we didn't find the food to be very good either.

I'd stay at MK or get an ADR for a better restaurant.

I also wouldn't waste time on it. We've been well over 20 times, and have never eaten there.
I'd stick to CS for the whole trip. The parks are so large. You don't have much time at all!
There are plenty of CS places, which are fine and tasty. Many have cute themes. The WS in Epcot has lots of nice offerings! Portions everywhere, IMHO, are large!
WS in Epcot generally opens much later than FW, so you'll only have 3 hours in the WS. That isn't much time at all.

Only two park days, I wouldn't be doing any table service those days, too much lost time.

I may be biased because Ohana is our favorite and DHS is our least favorite. I agree w/ the person that said that 5 hours at DHS is plenty of time. We love Ohana, and if we were to do a TS meal in one of those two days, I'd do it on a non-MK day since you won't have much time to spend there to begin with.

Assuming the two days are Saturday and Sunday I would either arrive early enough on Friday to do the dinner that night or skip it.

I would also switch the order of your second day. I'd get DHS out of the way early and then spend the rest of the day in Epcot. That would give you the option of eating somewhere in the park that evening and making that your target meal of the day.

I've never been a big fan of evening EMH at HS, there are so few rides, the crowds get concentrated, lines are not short. Ohana is fun, but can also be a zoo, not a must-do for us if we were trying to see all four parks in two days.

Definitely agree with previous poster, my suggestion would be to switch Sunday. Do HS in the morning, then hop over to Epcot at lunchtime. Pick a country to have dinner in, and then Illuminations. And if you really trying to cram in as much as possible, depending on when you arrive, MK has the Christmas party Friday nights...

We like Ohana, but I'm not sure I would try to push for it on a 2 day trip. I agree with previous posters to pick a country in Epcot and watch Illuminations. Too many great choices in Epcot for dinner, but the time of year may also be a factor in your decision.

Try using Disney Dining Buddy to get your reservation for the night before. I did this in May for a trip in June and got exactly the time I wanted. SO worth the $8.
