Worth it to download ding?

I had the ding thingie on our last computer and it drove DH crazy for whatever reason. Right now for our end of April trip I am getting $636 for 4 people. Am I likely to get lower than that (out of BWI) using a Ding?

Personally, I have never found a deal with a DING. The DINGs are too last minute for me and usually require a specific flight that are usually the more unpopular times and usually not nonstops. That's just my opinion. If you're not picky about flights and can change last minute, DINGs might work for you. I just look for across the board sales.

Lately no. I've gotten really good DING deals in the past but the last 6 months or so the deals haven't really been there. $636 seems like a really really good deal to me. I'd book that and not look back. Check out the "History of DING Fares" thread and that should give you a pretty good indication of what they've been like lately. I'm not saying that couldn't change but you never know.

If you don't book the $636 and wait around for a DING that may not happen, then you risk not getting the cheap fare now. SWA is tricky! Up and down, and up and down...

Funny, I've always gotten a credit the last 5 years because of a ding! Honestly, once our airfare is booked, I check SW daily. Some days I found the price had gone down and it wasn't because of a "ding." If you have the free time, I'd check it daily. Last year I saved over $350 which family members used to purchase their airfare.

Yes, in the past, I've gotten some good DING deals. But if you check the DING thread, there hasn't been much up at all lately. I'm thinking DINGs are becoming a thing of the past. Hope I'm wrong.

Ding can be good. It's all up to what they want to discount that day at that time that you're on the computer!

Be sure to add any airport you might fly out of, and any FL airport you might find it convenient to fly into (that, obviously, SW uses, LOL).

There were all kinds of DINGs today (good until midnight)! These were for April and May--check 'em out.
