Hi folks, we only have 2 days, no flexibility on staying longer. Wish we could do 3 but it's not possible. Just me and a friend. Trip is in late April- a Friday and Saturday. Your thoughts?

* no children?
* only Disneyland visit?
*early risers?
*physically fiT?
*in the park till close?

then, with maxpass, yes.....knowing that you will visit Radiator Springs one nigh, possible WOC and walk around DCA when it is dark

Thank you Chickapin! So helpful
Did not consider DCA at night

Yes, no kids, very active. We can definitely be early risers for just two days. This will probably be our only time at Disneyland. We’re east coasters and DisneyWorld is typically our go-to

If you can afford it, I recommend MaxPass and Park Hoppers. The proximity of parks is so different than WDW. You’ll appreciate the flexibility.

We have 3 kids and still park hop because it's so easy. On our last trip I bet there were days we went back and forth 3-4 times, depending on what maxpass times were available for headliners.

were you a first time visitor to Disneyland?

Yes from me too. Last Sept was my first time at DL even though I live on the Pacific NW Coast! We had hoppers and Max Pass and we went back & forth between the parks every day.

DCA at dark is great...you don't need to spend a night, just see it in the dark then head back after your RSR fastpass back into Disneyland. You will want to see Radiator Springs as it is whole different visual, also walking thru Bugs Land at night and walking the back falls Grizzly, I don't recommend you ride it at night on your short visit

Folks,

Do you think DCA is worth a park hop since so much is being refurbished in April?

I guess your choices are:
A) both days in DL
B) one day in each park
C) PH so you can catch a flavor of DCA
D) both days in DCA.

Given your concerns about construction, I think that options B and D are out. So the question is: two days in DL or a PH so you can catch some of DCA.

In your shoes, with limited time on a once-in-a-lifetime Trip, I probably wouldn’t give an entire day to DCA... but IMO, it would be a shame to miss RSR and GOTG and some of the atmosphere. It’s a bit like Hollywood Studios, but there’s enough different that I’d plan a few hours there if I were you.

I treat DLR as one big park. Once within the espalande, you wont have to go through bag check again. It's really just a matter of scanning your ticket in when park hopping. I always opt for hoppers for flexibility. If one park looks good wait time wise, just walk right over. You'll want to keep your options open for a two day trip.

1. Cadillac range
2 you do not want to spend a whole day in DCA, very little to entertain an adult unless you are a Disney historian, then time in Animation Buliding and frozen would be fun,
3. Cadillac Range
4. Neon lights in Radiator Spring
5. Caddillac Range
6. The refurbishment, though extensive, would be disappointing anyhow as a Disney amusement , prior to or after the new project, so you are not missing any elements as a two day visitor.
7. Cadillac Range
8. Have you seen that parade?
9. Cadillac Range, kind of hard to ride it two days in a row.....if you don't park hop

I appreciate it. I’m used to WDW, where it’s so massive you must drive everywhere

This is good to know. Yes, I was bummed that DCA was partially closed. But it’ll be a long time before I ever visit again. Might as well go all out!
