Worth it to add 1/2 day?

I don't have a trip planned for anytime soon, so I'm not here as much as usual these days, BUT.... does the free day at a water park apply to ALL resort reservations or only ones with a ticket package included? It seems like OP (reading between the lines here) is planning to use that free water park day, but with APs, I wasn't sure those were included.

All resort stays, regardless of ticket. As a matter of fact the best use case for this perk is a split stay imo. We’re APs doing a BWI/Poly split in May and plan to use ours on the day we switch resorts. We would have otherwise done another pool day or gone to Disney Springs until our room is ready so it works out well.
