Hey all, we're making our first trip over to the world with our newest addition to the family sometime next spring! Anyway, he should be a yr old then but I'm just wondering, is universal/islands of adventure/sea world etc baby friendly? Thanks!

Your baby is adorable !
I personally, would only go to Sea World of the parks you mentioned. I don't think, overall, Uni/IOA is baby friendly. Unless your dh and yourself wanted to take turns with the baby and going on rides (Uni/IOA does offer "baby swap" and diaper changing areas), I would skip those parks. Sea World is much more laid back and a less hectic pace. Enjoy your first trip to the World with your little one.

I too have to say I don't think Universal/IOA is geared too much toward the little one's (toddler's). However, I do think being around a year-- he may just love the sights of all the animals at SeaWorld.

My 11 month old had fun at Universal. The main problem was that she couldn't walk yet (although she tried!) and sometimes it was a pain to get around. There are areas for small children at both parks. I think it was IOA that has a water spray area. The studios side has characters and some things for the little ones.

Both DD & her cousin a little younger had fun. There is a baby care area with a small nursing room.

We went to US at that time because family in Florida had season passes and we got them as well. They're very affordable! We stayed for a week at a townhouse and had a very relaxing trip. We visited fort wilderness but nothing else at WDW.

If it's taking time away from WDW, I'd probably skip them, but we really enjpyed the parks and DS (3 at the time) still asks to go back to "Usaversal."

your little one is so cute!!!

I agreed with Seaworld. I would wait a few years for US/IOA.

even the rides at IOA for little ones are F A S T..... I lost my backpack on the 'the cat in hat' - which someone has say was like 'a small world' yea but speeded up 500%.....

the thing that was so funny while I waited for my backpack - the lady brought back 5 others - their owners hadn't even missed them yet....

now if your baby likes fast things - then she might love it. If she doesn't it might scare her.

lol my baby's a little boy :rotfl:

Anyway, thanks everyone, I guess we might end up giving universal and islands of adventure a miss this year, but we'll defintely be going to Sea World!

I agree, Sea World would be good. Save Universal for later when it will be more fun for the little Cutie Pie!!!
