We will be going to MNSSHP for the first time in October. Is it worth doing twice in one trip? It's happening twice during our five day trip.

I wouldn't. I would take advantage of a regular evening at mk in addition to a single party, so you can see the electrical light parade and the regular fireworks show. The party is great, don't get me wrong, but probably not worth the extra cost when there are so many more things to experience.

I know that some people do it twice so that they can use one of the parties to focus on meet and greets. If your budget can handle it, why not?

If you have to have autographs from the top characters, who only do M&G's during the parties................then maybe. But if you're not into the "7 Dwarves",
"Jack Skellington and Sally" And any number of "Villains" then I'd say no...............

We did MNSSHP for the first time last fall and it was a great experience for the whole family and one of the highlights of the trip. However, I think once in a trip is plenty and don't really see a need to do it twice. It's also a late night and we were all pretty tired the next day so you have to consider that as well.

I'm cheap. I balked at hard ticket parties for years. Then I did one. Now, I would definitely splurge on 2 parties in one trip! (Oh, how times change.)

I would love to do MNSSHP twice, and would gladly cough up the cash to do so! Ya only live once! If you got it, spend it, you can't take it with you!

As others have said, if budget isn't a factor then yes. This would give you ample time to do all the extras at the party and make certain you got pictures with all the must haves.

The year we went we had "Snow White" with us and she had to have pictures with The Witch and the Dwarves (pretty certain she wouldn't have gotten that picture if she wasn't dressed as Snow). While she and her sister were getting that last picture. My DD was in line to catch Shadowman during the mix and mingle, she was dressed as Tiana.

I would have loved another party to really get everyone. Next time we go for a party, we will probably have a Nightmare before Christmas obsessed one with us, so that's another special line.

It's fun and I love it, but once a trip is most definitely enough.
A second time would just feel like a rerun for you.
Have fun on your trip!!

Eh... I wouldn't but I'm cheap. If you keep thinking it over then you should.

My opinion:

No. Not only from a $$$ perspective, but it also makes for a late night, which can make the following day challenging. Wouldn't want that twice.

It is ABSOLUTELY worth doing it once though.:thumbsup2

Wait, people go for a week and only go once? :confused3 Well, we go twice. One reason we go that time of year is specifically to go to the party. We even bring different homemade "costumes" for each party. We like to do everything, parade x2, fireworks front and back of castle, candy x2 but not high pressure since going twice (I then hand out at Halloween therefore saving the cost of buying candy), we like to do the Meet & Greets and last two years used one night to meet Jack and Sandy Claws, dance parties and trying the special snacks/treats. AND we go on as many rides as we can.

DISCLAIMER: Three of us have APs so we don't spend money that trip on tickets, when DH and DD joined they used this as MK time. We are BIG Halloween people.

It is worth it for me. We like to wear costumes, and since we are adults and don't like to go to bars at Halloween we don't really get to dress up otherwise.

I think Hallowishes are the best fireworks, and the parade is the best parade. I also like meeting characters that aren't out all the time. It is also a great time to go on rides with short waits and go trick or treating. Yeah, I could buy some bags of candy but it isn't as much fun as dressing up and going trick or treating at the Magic Kingdom then eating my candy while watching the parade.

Trick or treating, a character or 2 and seeing all the special show offerings can take up an entire party, so we like to have 2 parties to make sure we get to soak up the atmosphere.

If your not sure whether you'd like two or not, this might work for you.

Not all the tickets sell out in October ahead of time, so you might try to attend a party as early as possible in your trip, then if you really enjoyed it or didn't get to see everything you could grab tickets to a second night.

I guess that would depend on if you go in early or late October, most of the late October tickets do sell out way ahead of time.

I'd say no. It's a neat thing to go and say you did it once. It can be cheaper though to add another park day onto your hopper instead of adding another hard ticket event. Besides, if you want some party atmosphere and not go to the party, just leave the MK at 7pm when the park "closes" and the party starts.

I did it twice once because I was hunting characters. I spent one night doing characters, seeing the parade and fireworks. The 2nd night I did characters and more characters plus did some trick or treating then, saw the Pirate guys and the stage show and went on a couple of rides and watched Hallowishes again.

MNSSHP night goes by faster than you would expect.

I wouldn't do MNSSHP twice with the prices today. I LOVE MVMCP so much and I don't think I'd do it twice. There are people who do the parties 3 or 4 times!!!! That is insane to me but to them it works. I just couldn't see myself spending that much 3 or 4 times during 1 trip! So it is completely up to you and how you feel about spending your money.

As far as the cost thing goes, let me give you a different angle. I would go twice, but those would also be my MK days. With NE tickets I don't need to use them up on a MK day, the HT lets me in at 4pm and stay late. The ride lines are not that long and I LOVE LOVE the parade. We almost got run over by the headless horseman one year, my daughter freaked, it was great.
We plan on a pool morning and late sleep in the next day, so cost wise it works out better for us.

We're going to MNSSHP, and my twist on this question is a little different -- if we go to the Halloween parade, maybe even twice, will we really feel the need to go over to MK another night to see the Electrical Light Parade? Or do you think we'll have gotten our fill of parades? (Subjective, I know...)

I would go as many times as possible, we fly from PA every year and do 2 parties.

Thank you for all of the replies. There are good arguments on both side, luckily I have some time to consider all of this.
