Worst thing you ever ate at Disney?

Our entire mean at Ohana's but that was about 10 years ago on our honeymoon. It was horrible and everything was covered in ginger which I hate. I have heard really good things about it recently and want to try it again but I am gun shy.

Not a fan of ginger, either. I have never tasted it in Ohana's meals..

The meal at Akershus in EPCOT.

I love love love this meal! I love Scandinavian food, though...it's what I grew up with. Mmm. Herring, beets, cheeses. Nothing better!

My worst?

Electric Umbrella and ABC Commissary.

The EU was dirty, filthy, grimy and the food was cold and hard.

The ABC was disgusting. It was about 10 years ago and it was the vegetarian dish at the time - a tabbouleh wrap or something. It was BAD..

Although, OTOH, we LOVE Boma and SAI. Mmmm.

In Indiana, we call those dumplings. ;) Though they sure aren't served in clam broth!!

We call those dumplings here, too...they contain a wee bit more than raw flour. Oh gosh, it was so gross. Whenever I think about it, I get the heebie jeebies. I honestly feel like I couldn't ever eat at Fulton's again.

I can honestly saw that the worst meal DH and I ever ate while in Disney was at Earl of Sandwich. We were disappointed because we heard nothing but raves about this place.

This is really surprising to see. Do you remember what the meal was?

Seafood newburgh at 1900 Park Faire gave me food poisoning- went to the ER where it was confirmed- about 8 years ago. Haven't been back since.

Breakfast at CRT was blech (originally typed "belch", that too!), flavorless and just not good, especially for the price!

Sorry for those of you who don't like Boma- it's our favorite restaurant at Disney!!

Hubby's pot roast at 50's Prime Time had a HUGE strip of fat/gristle right through the middle, but they brought him a different portion when he pointed this out.

Can you remember what you ordered? I am just floored to read that EOS served up the WORST meal you have ever eaten at WDW!

We think it's exceptionally tasty!

Yup, Believe it!!!! EOS was indeed the worst we've ever encountered. Both my husband and I. We ordered some sort of roast beef sandwich each and it was so bloody the roll was actually soaked w blood. :scared1:
Now, dh and I both like rare roast beef but a bloody roll, not so much!
This was years ago and I'm sure our incident was isolated. I have heard many great things about EOS!! I'm sure it's a fab place. We just didn't care for it. You know the saying that first impressions are LASTING impressions.

We did had a pretty raunchy meal at 50's prime time last october. I was so excited to eat there because of a trip we had years ago. I was dreaming of the fried chicken. It was yuckola. Actually, everything we ordered was yuckola and it is on the "no, thank you" restaurants for our trips now. Plus, our waitress did not one thing "mom" like. All the other tables were laughing and being told to mind their manners and clean their plates and we got nada. lol

We had a similar experience at 50's Prime Time Diner in September 2009...SO disappointing!! I'd eaten there previously and had a fun time, plus a wonderful meal (fried chicken!). When DH and I went, they seated almost everyone before us (including walk-ups) even though we had table reservations.

The meal was so-so (and maybe doesn't belong on this "bad food" thread), but the experience was a bummer. Our "mom" lacked personality...no playfullness or joking at all. Just ehhhh. Like visiting your friend's house in high school who's mom is a bad cook...you'd like to go and have a good time, but the food is only so-so, she's not even fun to be around, and you can't wait to leave and go to the mall.

Basically, my DH has written off any restaurant in Hollywood Studios!!

Fortunately I can say I haven't really had any bad food at WDW except for a rubbery pasta dish covered in Ragu-like sause at Mama Melrose. As bad as the food was, the service was even worse!

We gave Mama Melrose a shot once because we love Italian food, it was gross and service was terrible. A few years later, thinking that maybe it was just an off night, we gave them another try a- same results. Never again!

Tony's-yuck, yuck, yuck!

And DH can't find bbq ribs there that suit him anywhere, he would like to open up his own bbq pit and "show them how it's done" :rotfl: He is also on a quest to find fresh squeezed lemonade-not the frozen or the fountain-:sad2: every vacation I listen to him whine about that.
