Worst Mom of the Year Award!

I feel so awful. My DD absolutely adores her little cousin and loves any opportunity to play with her. She also loves swimming. So we have been making sure she gets to swim with her about once a week. Well tonight DD got all ready and came in with her coverup on. Her and DH went to swim - I have a stupid cold so I'm sitting out and was sitting here finishing up my dinner. Well DD runs in the front door with just her bottoms on telling me she forgot her top. Like a dummy I laughed - it was funny. She's only 6. But she burst into tears - I comforted her and got her top on her and sent her to swim. But now I'm sitting here in tears because I feel so bad. I didn't even think before I laughed....it was just so cute. I just feel awful.

I agree. If this is the worst thing you've done you're in good shape. Just wait until you try to drop your child off at the wrong school, or better yet, you FORGET to take them to school because they're being so good in the backseet and they only speak up when you're halfway to work on I-75 in Atlanta rush hour traffic. Oops!

The other day i was so wrapped up in another message board I forgot to get my DS out the door for summer school. Granted he is 17 but i did space out.

Seriously I have older kids and daily I am pushed to far worse. This morning started out with my oldest DD scrambling for a ride home from water polo ( I don't drive) then she came home with girl from the team who I had never met. I was trying to pay stressful bills and my DD decided that she didn't want to take this girl to the movies so the girl called her dad. The dad was reallly running late and I let it just roll off my toungue that I was not pleased. The whole 2 hours from the time I started scrambling for a ride for DD til we left for the movies is a blur of stress and who the hell knows what I said. I wish the worse I did when I wasn't in the best place was laugh.
