Worst first WDW trip

And to the poster who asked about the CM inquiring about their resort, I don't know why they would ask about this before checking for availability, but that's what they did. Believe me, I was as shocked at this as you were!

I would give the CM the benefit of the doubt on this on. Which resort you're staying at has a big impact on your transportation options to get to your dinner so maybe the CM was trying to be helpful and find a restaurant that wasn't going to take an hour to get to by Disney transportation. That was my first thought anyway. Of course I could be wrong.

I have been on the phone 3x w/ Disney in the last week (once to make my hotel reservations, once to change the reservation to a different hotel, and once to make my dining reservations) and each CM has been super.

That was a bad introduction to WDW for your brother and his family. I hope they give it another shot.

I just try to give the "great" CM's encouragement and thank them whenever I can. I also try and be extra nice to people who are having a bad day. I know it is their job to be happy and helpful, but everyone has a bad day now and again. I tell those people to have a great day, and give them a great big smile. :sunny: Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Such is life.
I try and remember that I am on vacation, this is their life.
