Worst Disney Movie?

I wasn't fond of Old Dogs either. Just seemed really really lame. Haunted Mansion, Country Bears, Meet the Robinsons... they haven't phased me in the slightest to even want to watch them. I think I've watched like 5 minutes of them on cable before flipping to a new channel.

I do like Home on the Range... and now I feel like there is a cow talking in my ear every time I ride Spaceship Earth.
Brother Bear I think was amazing. Not for the story line persay, but because of how it was made. Lots of music and brilliant animation. I think it really captures the northern lights for animation, and I love the songs.
Wall-e... can't walk down Main Street without thinking of this movie now.
And I liked Lilo and Stitch before Stitch became the new Mickey... that drives me nuts.

I'm not fond of ever watching a sequal to a movie. Pixar's not on the top of my list, but they do make some cute movies.

me and pretty much everyone I know LOVE Return to Oz...it is so creepy and bizarro...that's why I love it.

Ok, I'll give you creepy and bizarro... Really? You & all your friends *love* it? Wow.
I don't necessarily mind creepy and bizarro, but I think if the film had been handled better in its release, things might have gone better. IMO "Return" was at the very least released poorly - Really? Releasing a darkly disturbing PG-rated version of some of the "OZ" stories under the Walt Disney Films banner? At the very least it should have been released under Touchstone or one of the other Disney-production houses.
I'm not sure if anything else about the movie could have been handled better or more to my liking, I just remember several years ago renting it by accident, seeing the Walt Disney imprimatur and thinking that since DD was reading all the Baum "Oz" books that she might enjoy it... we did not.

The other thing is I don't care what anybody says, but in my opinion "Return to Oz" is not more faithful to the original Baum Oz book-series than the 1939 "Wizard of Oz". While they both might be re-imaginings of the originals, I think that "Wizard" is more faithful.

agnes!

Popeye was Touchstone I believe... we could fill a whole other thread with bad movies from Touchstone.

Unless there was a sale in the last few minutes Touchstone, along with Walt Disney Pictures, Hollywood Pictures, ImageMovers Digital, and Marvel Studios is part of the Walt Disney Motion Pictures group.

Any Miramax movie released from 1993-2005 is also a Disney Movie.

The Gnome-Mobile... When your marketing relies on touting it has "Those two cute Mary Poppins kids!" you know there's not much there. I think it's pretty funny, but for all the wrong reasons.

Aw, I loved this movie when I was little! I cant remember most of the context.. but I remember the song..
"The gnome-mobile, the gnome-mobile, we're riding along in the gnome mobile.."

I wouldnt say that. Some of the ones listed were among my favorites. Eventually every movie Disney ever created will be on this thread.

Personally I loved Wall-E. Hidden agenda, yes, great movie yes. Boring, no. Ratatouille is on top of my list of favorites as well. But were all different.

I'm gonna agree on Princess and Toad. It didn't do a thing for me. Too much emphasis on voodoo. Nothing annoys me more than movies where the bad guy is overly stressed as the bad guy. OK, he's bad. Lets get beyond that and on with the story!:rotfl2:

woohoo! Glad I am not the only one!

"Chicken Little" for sure! I took my kids to see that movie and I could not wait for it to be over. Like, I should have brought a book and a flashlight. It was nothing but annoying. Okay, I think I went on enough about it.

I happen to like the "Country Bears" - maybe because it reminded me of the attraction at WDW!:cutie:

I thought Old Dogs was really bad! The previews made me crack up, though!

I can't belive no one said Dumbo yet! IMO that was one of the worst movies ever made! And it was made for children! I havn't seen it in over 20 years, maybe even 25, but the scene with the mom rocking dumbo through the bars has haunted me ever since!

I know; that's what I meant when I said we could technically fill a whole other thread with bad TS movies, since I assumed this one was more for WDP pictures.

I think the most boring Disney movie (not saying it's bad or anything) is Aladdin. It just doesn't seem that exciting to me.

I do like Home on the Range and Chicken Little since I have an attention span of a 3 year old. :lmao:

Only thing that saved Chicken Little was the guy from Scrubs.

I love Cars and Ratitoullie, but I didn't like The Little Mermaid or Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!

Cars is the only Disney-Pixar movie that I just could NOT watch! I recorded it on my DVR, watched about 2 minutes, and turned it off :rotfl:

Pinocchio is really dark and creepy...not my fave, although I adore Jiminy Cricket.

Some of the newer Disney movies are crud.

OH, Sleeping Beauty! The title character is onscreen for literally 19 minutes. And barely does anything other than sing in the forest, meet a strange dude, falls asleep, and dances with Phillip (again). The only good part of this movie is Maleficent (of course).

This makes "Pulp Fiction" my favorite Disney movie. :)

I didn't think of it, but Dumbo is on my worst list too.

Country Bears atleast had Christopher Walken talking to bears ... for that reason it's spared my worst Disney film.

I could go with some of the craptacular 60's and 70's live action stuff like the Boatniks, but I think the worst Disney flick I've seen was the early 80's gem:

CONDORMAN ... pretty sure that was released under the Disney banner. It's fun to watch for the cheese factor, but that's all it has going for it

Atlantis:The Lost Empire. Horrible!

I love Cars! I'm surprised so many people said that.

Worst movie in the whole entire Disney catalog, is Return to OZ.

I loved that movie when I was a kid, LOL! But the wheelers scared me to death!

My vote for worst Disney movie is Lilo & Stitch, though I know a lot of folks really liked it.

the hunchback of notre dame it was too dark for me. Also Pocahontas was a total let down for me, especially knowing the real history.
