what was the one thing that could have ruined your diet, not that anyone diets on a cruise!

Oh. The desserts KILL ME! I love all of them!!!

And I also enjoy snacking while watching movies in the Buena Vista Theatre and during shows in the Walt Disney Theatre --> usually chocolate and white cheddar popcorn.

There's nothing that could've ruined my diet, but there are plenty of items that DID ruin my diet...

Mickey waffles
Stollen at Palo brunch
cherries jubilee
Mickey ice cream bars (I ALWAYS finished what DD didn't eat)
bread basket
french toast

The list goes on and on!

I can't wait to ruin my diet again too!

Speaking of bread...how about the warm banana bread at PC?! Isn't that to DIE FOR??!!

Just about everthing...if you let it. Like you said you are on vacation....have a bit of everything and enjoy but don't make yourself sick.

On our first cruise I felt like I had to eat everything put in front of me or that I saw at a buffet to get my money's worth!!!....now I pick and choose what I really want and have it and enjoy it so much more!!!

SCOOPS, every day!, even when I wasn't hungry
the bread at dinner......and real butter!

Remeber the crousannts (or however you spell it). They're freshly made every day on the cruise and are very very yummy. DW loves the plain ones, I like the chocolate filled ones (just a little chocolate - not chocolate cream filled).

They also have Krispie Kream donuts for breakfast.

jrabbit - those chocolate ones are my favorite too!!::yes::

I always went to the buffet in the AM just to get those!!!!

midnite dessert buffet. you gain weight just by looking but it is worth it. just remember your on vacation. so relax and eat lol

The desserts ruined my diet! I was following the South Beach Diet until I went on our cruise in February. On the cruise, I didn't follow the diet, but I did try to make sensible choices. Except for the desserts!! I enjoyed the desserts every night! One night, the double chocolate cake was so good that I finished my husband's piece! Needless to say, I gained 7 seven pounds on the cruise! However, I am happy to report that I went back on Phase 1 of the South Beach Diet and lost all the weight I gained in two weeks. Thank goodness!! The desserts were worth the weight gain for me!

Just can not put on any pounds. I eat as much dessert/ice cream on the ship as my DW will allow me without making a fool of myself. And DCL makes some yummy desserts. Last cruise one night there were just too many things I liked, so the waiter brought me the 3 items I liked best. I could only eat about half of each one - but they were certainly yummy. Anyway I agree with sjcubedofct - There are no such things as calories on the ship. Before serving the food, they are removed. So eat up and don't worry about those calories.- Mike

Just reading this thread has made me gain about 5 pounds......oh dear, there goes my SouthBeach Diet........can you spell C-H-O-C -O-L-A-T-E? YIPPPEEE!!!! :Pinkbounc

Chocolate souffle!!! :earseek: I'm not a person who eats sweets but this did it for me!! I have never had anything that good in my life!! :hyper:

I wish I could eat at Palo's everynight! ha-ha

As long as I'm still light enough to float then "diet? what diet?"

But really, the chocolate lava cake on the 7 night. I would pay the entire fare again just for the cake, as long I could have it for my appetizer and main course, too.

My only attempt to watch my weight while on a cruise is a nightly walk around deck four. I just have to make sure I finish in time for the dessert buffet!
