Worst change in the last 10 years...What do you miss most

Removing the original Tom Morrow and the rest of the verbal gems from the TTA. I know some of it is back, but it's not the same.

E-ticket nights
Tapestry of Nations
Wonders of Life pavilion

I also feel that DDP has negatively impacted the Disney dining experience. IMO, a lot of the TS restaurants have "standardized" their menus and I think food quality and the overall experience have suffered.

The homogenization (sp?) of the food and merchandise has more to do with cutting costs than with the free dining plan.

I read here that a few years ago, the bigwigs discovered that every restaurant was ordering its own food, so they had many, many suppliers. The bean-counters (ha) realized they could negotiate much better pricing if everyone used the same supplier. Of course, this in turn means that every restaurant ends up serving the exact same food.

I agree--The blame the DDP for everything people will claim reduced revenue from DDP guests is the cause of cutting costs.

I don't buy it. Disney decided homogenization is a "good" way to cut costs.

Right now, Block Party Bash.

In all honesty, I wish they hadn't taken away/changed many of the things they've done away with these past few years.

Free dining.

I understand the issues it causes but we would not be able to go without it. We've had free dining every trip except our very first. No way would we be able to stay at WDW onsite for a week and afford it otherwise.

I don't buy it either. If the DDP was causing Disney to lose money, the would have gotten rid of it. Instead, not only did the keep it, they give it away for free during the off season.

But I still think it sucks that you have the same three choices for dessert at every counter service restaurant.

Lights of Winter. I get the chills & tear up just thinking about them. There was nothing like Carol of the Bells in those lights, and actually feeling the music throughout your whole body, in time with the lights!

So even though that may not be the fault of the DDP, it is still an unacceptable result. Maybe they should use a few more food suppliers...

Horizons, Journey Into Imagination, World of Motion, Mr. Toad, and Dreamflight. While I don't really miss the skyride, I'd like to be able to ride it once more.

Also, I miss Wonders of Life and the old Innovations. Innovations has some pretty neat stuff now but I remember that place being packed when I was a kid. It was the same way with Wonders of Life.

I would say Horizons but that closed over 10 years ago. Eh, I'll still say it. ;)

I miss Pocohontas and Friends at AK. Both of my kiddos are animal lovers and it was one of our favorite shows.

they've got them planned on paper. when our window opens up they will call and make them.

Ahhh. Got it. Sadly, I have a plan too. Won't be double-booking. Instead, I have a "if this, then that" plan. If the hours are what I expect at each park, I have a master plan. If Disney throws me a curve, I have a back-up plan. I hate having to do this.

I remember for a short period of time, I felt that l was amongst a select few who knew about FastPass. Then seemingly all of a sudden the whole world caught on to "my" little secret. Oh...I miss the Toad too!

Bear in the Big Blue House at Playhouse Disney. I only got to see him once...I would kill to see him again!

The non-Donald El Rio del Tiempo. The song, especially.
