Hi all - visiting CSR with my two dd's in November. We are really excited about trying CSR for the first time even though it wasn't our first chioce. Timing and a great AP rate brought us here. Since I travel alone with my 6yo and 8yo I try and stay on the monorail or boardwalk area.

I have gotten lots of great advice and suggestions already and my fax is prepared. I do want to be ready for the alternative however and wonder how far and or inconvenient the furthest location would be. I assume from my reading that even a building far away from the main area could still have a bus stop.

Would it be reasonable to return to the resort, exit at the main area, grab food or whatnot for the evening and then hop another bus or walk back to the room? I read a tr about someone getting a ride from CM's via golf carts, is this the norm or an "ounce of magic"? Any other ideas, hints or tips are more than welcome.

TIA
TJ

Relax, you'll be fine!!! We tried CSR last year, WOW!!! We were so impressed. What a great moderate! Your kids will LOVE the pool area. The Pepper Market is great, because you will be seated at a table, drink orders taken and then you go get your food and bring it back to the table. There is real silverware and cloth napkins already at the table. You don't have to run around after drinks and cutlery and you pay as you exit, not while balancing a tray of food.
You might try this strategy to cut down on walking. Eat breakfast in your room and take the bus closest to your room to the parks OR go to the food court for breakfast and just take the bus there instead of going back to your room. When you come home for a swim, just take the bus back to your room and eat at the pool. The pool bar has great choices, but I'm not sure how late they stay open. The size of this resort is grossly exaggerated on these boards. I was really surpirsed when I got there. Cabanas 9B or 8A would be good or Ranchos 7B. Good luck!

Thanks susy that helps - I have memories of CBR with just me and my daughter (then 3), we were on the end of nowhere!

I plan to have groceries (TTC, no car) so we will do breakfast in the room and just hit the parks from the closest bus stop. Walking to and from the pool should be ok. My biggest concern is late nights if we need/want something to eat from the food court or to do some shopping before returning to the room. I do like the idea of the food court having some service - and it looks like the food is much more intersting than most food courts as well.

Thanks again -

TJ

Just keep in mind that there is a mandatory 10% charge for the Pepper Market. I didn't like that. Just because they sitted me and brought a drink and had real silverware was not worth a mandatory 10 % charge.
