I'm become extremely worried about my upcoming wedding and Disneymoon. And it's not the fun "butterflies in the stomach" worrying. It's the "oh my god, we have to pay for a lot more stuff and we DO NOT have the money and have no idea how we are going to get the money!" Both my DF and I work full-time jobs, but with rent, food, bills and gas, it seems like there's hardly anything left at all to put away for the wedding! At least the dresses are paid for, as well as the venue and deposits are made toward the florist and the musicians.
I'm VERY worried that there won't be money left for our honeymoon at our beloved WDW. Ever since we both agreed to vacation there, my mind has been a whirlwind of happiness and anticipation. I've been on the forum almost every day, bought two guide books and have been going through them like crazy and have been enjoying everyon'e pics up here from the different parks. I know the honeymoon should not be a bigger deal than the actual wedding, but I am SO excited to share the fun and magic with my Prince Charming. If we can't take the honeymoon, I will just be beyond devestated. I've already booked the package and put down the deposit, but I have SO FAR to go until I pay it off (it's all due Aug. 17th).
Please, wish me luck on this! I've still got my hopes up but (being the natural pesimist I am) I'm also preparing for the worst.
Just needed to vent, folks...:scared:

I wish you luck, August 17th will be here before you know it. I think that I may have paid for the WDW trip 1st.

We have to have our trip paid off the same day. Looks like we will be there the exact same week. "Don't sweat the small stuff!" It will happen.

Remember Dreams Really Do Come True!!

Congrats to you both!!

First, congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Now, I understand what it is to worry about money issues. Is there anything you can scale back on in the next month -- eating out, movies, etc. -- extras so that maybe you will have a little cushion? Nothing ties your stomach in knots more than worrying about not having enough money and really meaning it.

Good luck and I hope it all works out effortlessly!

Congratulations!!!! Try not to worry, so many times things just have a way of working out.

Everything will work out in the end. Maybe you will get cash for some of your wedding gifts. Have a garage sale, or find some things to eBay. I know, not what you want to be doing right before your wedding, but those little things add up quickly! I think all of us have that little panic attack right before the balance is due, or when you realize what you actually spend for your WDW trip. It IS a lot of money, but in the end it's always been worth it for me. Good luck!

Thank you, everyone, for your encouragement and advice!!! You guys are the best!!! :goodvibes

I think those feelings are pretty normal, especially when paying for your own wedding (or hefty portions of it).

I know that we weren't entirely sure we had everything covered until after the wedding was over and we knew that everyone had been paid (half our vendors needed full payment 2 weeks before, and the other half got their checks that night). Once we knew that (for several vendors, my dad was sweet enough to pay, BUT he didn't have a terrific track record at following through so we had scrimped enough to save just in case he "forgot his checkbok"), then we knew we had extra money for the honeymoon (a cruise, which had been paid a few months before, but we had to get up to the port, and pay for hotel pre and post, buy some souvenirs, etc). It's so crazy, but it did all work out!

And hey, your payment is due on our wedding anniversary...so right there you've got a good sign. :)

Just remember you will get some $$ as wedding presents so that can help with the Disneymoon! pixiedust:

Like the other pp said...Dont worry about it... Everyone has some kind of money issue... things will be okay... They always have a way of working out when they are supposed to...
Congrats on your upcoming wedding & start thinking more positively... Your getting married, a new life is awaiting you and having a posititive attitude will help....

"Just keep swimming, just keep swimming... just keep swimming"!!!! :)Dori:)
