ok.....so i have to admit something here....

i am absolutely terrified that this second cruise of ours on the Wonder will be a major let-down after the first one.
Has anyone else worried about that?

Last time we cruised on the 3 night Wonder. This time we're doing the land/sea, with 4 nights on the Wonder.

We had such a wonderful time the first time around. We loved our room, loved our servers, had smooth sailing, no one on the ship was unpleasant....in a word - perfect....

so what if it doesn't measure up? what if we're bored with the extra day? what if what if what if..

ok....so i obsess...

Beth

I have been on 5 Disney Cruises thus far, and have adored each and every one of them. Think of it like having children. You loved your first born, and each that followed were loved just as much, lol.

Now if only I could plan for #6 here... :Pinkbounc

I wish I had your worries. LOL!

We had our second cruise in April (7 day western). LOVED IT!

It was a different experience than the 4 day but over all it was wonderful!

It's your vacation...just relax and enjoy it!

RElax , our second was better than our first, as we had not gone to Palo on our first we actually did not make it there on our second as well we had reservations but got involved with outher stuff and did not want to miss it.. im sure that u did not get to try every thing offered on the 3 day cruise .... and will get to try some different stuff.. No Worries We have Been on 6 and have 7 and 8 booked .. U will still find that Magic feeling on a second...

I dont know there is just a feeling that comes over u when u Board the ship.....

Have a great cruise ..................

Peter

You have nothing to worry about! You will love the second cruise, the third, the fourth............

We felt just as much excitement the second time around. Only I think we were a little BETTER off -- knowing some of the ins and outs, procedures, shows, best places to sit, etc.

We are planning our third for next summer. :boat:

Have a great time being an "expert" cruiser!

I have been on 2 going on the 3rd in 4 weeks and can not wait to get home and plan the 4th cruise. We have blast everytime. :Pinkbounc

thanks everyone!!....
i just needed a pep talk.....
i'm the vacation planner in the family so i'm always worried it won't turn out right (they always work out fine, but what can i say....i have an extra worry gene)...

and you're right....i am quite sure.....the moment we make the turn for the port and see the ship...well....all my worries will just melt away....

thanks again!!

Beth

GET EXCITED and Stay that Way.... It Will BE MAGICAL....

Peter

I really liked the second one better because I was much more prepared and "knew the ropes". You will only want more not less.

We just got back from our 2nd three night cruise and it was wonderful (no pun intended). We actually had an even better time because our kids were a little older (2 and 4) and more into the activities. We ended up using it as a trial run for the reposition to see if we thought we would go stir crazy after 14 days, and we decided we are keeping the booking. There is a certain amount of "down time" when there aren't any activities that interest you- but that's the time you lay around with the family and let your brain turn to mush!

Have fun on the land and sea. That's what we did last year. This year we just did the parks a la carte since we wanted to go to Universal parks too. Do not miss the new Mickey's Philharmagic in the Magic Kingdom fantasy land- it is the best 4D show I have seen.

yes i see what you mean about knowing the ropes....now that i think about it i remember all the worry about where to go to get to the port, to check in, to eat lunch, to make reservations, to .....to....to....
so that tension is totally removed this time....that should be a vast improvement....

thanks again everyone...i'm sure we'll have a great time...
i LOVE being with my family.....just hanging out and chit-chatting is my favorite form of entertainment (for those of you with little ones, yes, teenagers actually will do that....just sit and chat with the old folks....it's great)....

Emily -
we're also doing universal this year....but just a one night stay ..
we went a few years ago, but my son was too young to do the roller coasters....so basically this is a coaster visit to universal...

Remember how great the first cruise was? Remember the moments of magic? How 'bout the serving staff - where they absolutly terrific? You've been reading everyones trip reports and how great different experiences were?

OK now try to bring all of these memories "back down to earth". For us the second and third cruises were great. We had great times and loved every moment of them, but they were a let down to the "memory" of the first cruise where everything was a new experience and we didn't have a clue as to what was comming next. Approach this second cruise "like a child" don't set your expectations so high or you are setting yourself up for a disapointment.

We continue to cruise DCL and enjoy it - but I don't think anything will live up to that first cruise (except for the Panama Canal CA->FL repo cruise next year:wave2: )

I kinda had the same feelings as you........but our 2nd cruise was "Wonder"ful. Actually, I was more relaxed and was more at ease. The girls were too. They knew what to expect, etc.

You will have a Great Time!!!

hey....wait a minute.....
i just remembered something....
we've been going to WDW year in and year out for the last 30 years...(and of course our friends all think we're NUTS....)...
we LIKE to do the same things....that's us...
even non-disney.....we go to all our same vacation spots all year long...without fail...even stopping in the same restaurants along the way.....
yup....no question about it....we like to feel at home with what we're doing...
so i guess that means that this cruise should be even better than the first..

It is so funny that this thread came up....I am going on my second DCL cruise. The first time we went w/our friends who had Dd's the same age as ours, so they were very happy as were we. We booked for this October and they financially couldn't book, so I have been wondering if the 2nd time will be as great as the first. I thought I was the only one who stressed over this type of thing! Glad to no I'm not alone!!! Have a great trip...again and again and again:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

hi videoman...
it makes sense that we're all a little bit worried....
it's hard to beat perfection...

That is very true! Have an amazing trip and I hope the second trip has even more magic than the first!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I liked our second one better but only because it was 7 nights compared to 4. The 4 night one just left us feeling like it was too rushed - maybe we just try doing too much. LOL. - Mike

well by that logic, this 4 nighter should be better than the 3 night cruise we took 2 years ago.....

Yes disneyholic family, the four nighter will be better. We also took the three night cruise the first time. Loved it so much that last summer we took the four nighter. The extra day at sea was so relaxing!

Next cruise next summer will be the 7 night!!

Have a wonderful time! I'll be missing my summer cruise this year, but hey -- I am still going to Disney!
