Hello everyone,

I need some prayers. I think that I might be pregnant and now is not a good time. We have been using multiple forms of birth control but I'm still 3 days late , and I'm normally very regular. My husband and I have only been married 2 months and he's still in college. My job barely pays enough to support the both of us. I'm afraid to take a test to find out for sure because he's going through an intense interview process and I don't want to stress him out even more. Please keep me in your thought today.

I know you're stressing,...try not to. Almost anything can make you 3 days late..esp. stress....and I know you have been under some lately...hey, you just got married. :flower:

I'm wishing you good news, but really, you could just be late. Here's hoping.

Well one thing I have learned with myself, I always got pregnant when it was the most worst time.
And I was pregnant while dh was fininshing up college, so I know what you mean.
Now I am 40 and that was 15 years ago and a distant memory.

Take the test and get it over with. Better to know and get proper meds, esp your Prenatal vitamins.

Three days late & you're using three forms of protection? Try not to sweat it. It could be stress or any number of things causing you to be late. If you're up to a week late, then get that pregnancy test so you can proceed from there. Sweeping it under the rug won't make it go away if you are pregnant. (BTDT, was two months late before I got tested with my first child.)

Take the test - it's better to know either way - you may set your mind at rest. As others have said there are many things that can make you a couple of days late. And worrying about it will probably delay you more.

Hugs to you :grouphug: and let us know how you get on.

I agree, take the test... that's the only way to know for sure. But if you are taking multiple forms of b/c, then you probably don't have all that much to worry about. Good luck

Stress can definitely make you late, even if you're normally regular. More than likely that's all it is. The test is a relatively cheap way to peace of mind.

SOme of gods greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.
even though YOUthinkit is the worst time.
In hindsight it might be different.
As someone else said stress can cause youto be late.
Take a test... find out...

Good advice Gems -

Best of luck to you (and DH)

Newly married can be very stressful. I was "late" early in married life and that's just what it is being late. You never know how birth control can screw up your TOM.

I am going through the same thing. I'm usually early, never late and I was supposed to get my period 3 days ago. My husband and I were only intimate like 3 times this month (was a busy month!) and we used protection. Took a test yesterday just to make sure and it was negative so there is something that's making it late, but not pregnancy, THANK GOD!!!!

The best advice that can be given here, and has been, is to just take a test and get it over with. Stalling isn't going to change the results.

Good luck to you.

I agree with above posters...take the test. The stress of not knowing will just make you more upset.
And, as someone else stated above...sometimes things like this at what WE think is the wrong time but it usually works out. Especially when that "thing" is a wonderful little person that you could never live without and you love unconditionally...
Keep us updated.
Blessings, prayers, pixie dust and hugs to you! :grouphug:

When my dh and I were 1st married I was also a few days late, on different forms of birth control, and paranoid that I might be pregnant. It would have been very bad timing. We had no health insurance, I had just lost my job, the list goes on and on. I called my mom who had a friend who's a nurse. Her friend said that big changes such as getting married and things like stress such as losing my job and then worrying about being pregnant could all delay TOM. Sure enough I got my period a few days later and didn't have any more scares after that.

So try not to worry (easier said than done I know!) and take a test. It will help set your mind at ease one way or another. And remember if you are pregnant it may not be what you had planned but maybe it will be the best thing whether it seems like it now or not. I am betting you aren't pregnant though. Good luck either way!
