Worried about Delta!

Well...we ARE in Dallas! So we still may be affected by this but we aren't sure yet. We booked our flight through Travelocity and we called them last night. They put us on hold and called Delta to check on our particular flight. They said that "at this time" our flight will not be affected by any changes. So I guess only time will tell!

mistyD,

all flights will now be connecting to MCO!!! everyone on a
non-stop flight after Feb. 1st will be affected.

when is your flight?

they will update the computers after Sept. 18th
then you will know if your flights are changing

Our non-stop flight in March is!! and I am very sad.

232271 - Our flight is in December so I am hopeful that we will be as scheduled. It's a little funny - I have always flown American and this is the first time I have ever booked with Delta, and look what happened! I hope you are able to get your trip booked like you need it!

well, it looks like I will just have to endure a lay over.
or if possible cancel and refund and book on American!!

Folks from Oregon always have at least 1 connection. Sometimes 2 connections!

When we fly to WDW it is a full day there and back! So, a week's vacation is actually 5 Disney days.

Enjoy those short, non-stop flights when you can get them!

Dont expect delta to shut down any time soon. US Air I would worry about. Delta just announced to the public and stock holders(me!) there resturcturing plan on the 8th It looks great to me and lots of analyst dont see them shutting down if they declare bankruptcy. Delta is not in bad shape compared to US Air and united.
Matt

i doubt they will shut down, but I bet we wont see any
flights back at DFW for a really long time if ever.

Delta is not leaving DFW entirely. Yes, DFW is no longer going to be a hub, but Delta will still have 21 flights out of DFW daily. I suspect that most if not all will be headed to ATL, CVG or SLC - Delta's remaining hubs.

yes, but those of us spoiled by non stop to Orlando for the
last 8 trips to Disney can not imagine layovers!!!

I am going to American.

update:

Delta did change my March trip to lay over flights, but my
husband got them to refund our tickets and we went and
booked American non stop for pennies more.

I am glad it worked out. Hope it works out for others.
Check your itineraries online if you have them, that is how we
found out ours had changed and it was today 9/18 that
they did.

:D

If you already booked anbd your flight is cancelled, you can choose from any of the same airline's other available flights or flight combinations with no extra charge.

Unfortunately, if only one airline (probably American) is doing non=stops from Dallas to Orlando, the fare is likely to be high.
