Worried about CR/BLT busses

Hello,

The fam and I will be at our happy place in less than a month! And while I'm thrilled to be staying at BLT for a second time, I have one gnawing fear - catching a bus to HS!

Last time we were at BLT, we waited over an hour and half for a bus to HS... they finally had to call one for all the people waiting. We didn't end up getting to the park until after rope drop (gasp) which you know threw me for a loop and messed up my tour plan.

This year, my DS is old enough for Jedi Training Academy. I plan to be waiting for a bus by 7:30am for a 9:00 opening but I'm still nervous!

Recent CR/BLT travelers, calm my fears! Help me believe there will be a bus so my son can battle Vader!

We just got back from a week at CR. I was very impressed with the buses. We used them for DHS and DTD and never waited longer than 10 minutes. We took 2 trips to both places. Hopefully what you experienced was a one-time thing!

Such things are rare, but always possible. If you really want to be the Master of your Transportation Domain, it's worth renting a car. We normally do, and use it for most rope drops except MK. From CR/BLT, I'd even use it to Epcot in the AM to avoid the monorail transfer.

During my previous stays at the Contemporary I never had any problems regarding waiting for the Bus to Hollywood Studios, because I usually waited around 10 minutes. So I think you happen to be there on a bad day when things didn't go right. However I also agree that if you want to be in control you should look into renting a car and when staying onsite you already get free parking at the Theme Parks.
