Worried about cancelling due to cough

My son came down with a cough last week and stayed home from school on Thursday/Friday. I think I should make a decision about our trip -leaving next week- in the next day or two. Anyone try to reschedule last minute? Any advice?

I had to cancel a DL trip at the last minute a couple of weeks ago due to my illness. Call MS and ask them what your options are before you decide. I had a complicated reservation with borrowed points and developers points but it worked out. It is a big disappointment cancelling a trip but looking back it was the right decision for us. I hope that your DS gets to feeling better soon!

I don't want to alarm you, but any flu symptoms this time of year should be checked out. Please call your pediatrician.

As far as canceling goes, we had to cancel at the last minute one year and DVC was very accommodating.

A cough can be caused by many things, not just the flu. Regardless, if it's to a level that is unusual or of concern, definitely take him to the doctor for a once-over. It's good peace of mind if nothing's wrong, and a great decision if it's something severe.
