I never got around to doing a PTR but I thought I'd let you know what we have planned in case anyone wants us to check something out.

Cast of characters: Me, DH, DD(turning 11 on our trip), DS9

We have been to WDW 4 times as a family (I have been 7 or 8 times). We have never been to DLR as a family but I was there once when I was 6 :rotfl: and once for a day about 20 years ago. So for all intents and purposes we are DLR newbies!

We fly in on Friday night. We are taking the Super Shuttle to BWPPI. We will stay at BWPPI for 5 nights and at PPH for 3 nights. We are renting a car in the middle of the week and plan to do day trips to Sea World and Legoland. We have 5 day park hoppers.

We have Goofy's Kitchen reserved for brunch one day and we are considering Surf's Up with Mickey at PPH for one breakfast. We plan to do mostly counter service or eat outside the park. DD is VERY picky. We are thrilled that there is an I-Hop next door to our hotel since pancakes and eggs are two of the few foods she eats.

Unfortunately no one (but me :rolleyes1) is willing to get up early but we are night owls and we have 5 days so we hope to be able to see everything. We are especially looking forward to attractions that don't exist in WDW: Indiana Jones, Monster's Inc, Roger Rabbit, Nemo subs, Aladdin show, etc, and some of our favorites Soarin, Toy Story Mania, Star Tours, drawing characters in the Animation bldg, etc. We also love pin trading and getting autographs.

We have WOC picnic boxes reserved for one day and F! dessert package reserved for another.

That in a nutshell is our plans. I promise to do a more extensive trip report when we get back. :thumbsup2

Have fun ~ I strongly suggest you continue urging for early mornings - it's so worth it, will you have a time change to take advantage of? If you're on the east cost you're 3 hours ahead of PT - that should help you get going in the mornings. We just back back last night ~ we made park opening/rope drop every morning and took mid day breaks for a much needed nap - the park *we always start in the Magic Kingdom* was so quiet the 1st 2-3 hours each morning!

Would you mind posting about your experience with Super Shuttle on the Airport Proximity to DLR and Ground Transportation Information Super Thread? There's a discussion going on there right now (following parkhopper407's bad experience) about how some people like them and other people are a little worried about them. The main bone of contention appears to be SS drivers texting while driving (which is illegal in California).

I agree that early mornings are really important at Disneyland, and we are early birds who also have been in the parks at opening on every day of our trip. But I think there can be a compromise. With 5 days, it is not absolutely necessary to be there before the gates open every morning. I would recommend trying for opening on 2 of your mornings though, even just 1 if you can't convince the family to do 2, and preferably not the mornings after your planned late night events.

Sounds like a great trip you have planned!! Would you mind reporting on your experience at BWPPI when you return? We will be staying there Aug. 26 for 5 nights for the firts time! I have heard great things about it! Hope you have a fabulous time!!

I will definitely report back on Super Shuttle and on BWPPI.

And I know, I know...early mornings are the way to go. I will try. I always try. :confused3 It's not just that my family members are not morning people - it is that they move soooooo sloooooow (especially in the morning).

Thanks a bunch! It will be good to hear a current report from someone who is specifically watching for this no-no.

I threatened to leave my family lying in bed and go by myself when we were there in December! :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

I can vouch for her family (I'm related), they are super slow! :rotfl:

Have a great time! Can't wait to hear about it.
