Worlds collide: Queso and Crab?

I have a frozen Friday's queso dip in the freezer. I also have a can of lump meat crab. I was thinking of mixing the crab with the queso dip and having some chips with it. Is this crazy? Would you try it?

I have had a crab and queso like dip. It was not a yellow cheese and not spicy. Is your queso spicy??? I am sitting on the fence on this one. If you do try it post your update and let us know how it turned out.

Queso is a soft cheese dip typically associated with nachos and other Mexican dishes. My frozen dip is yellow, and I think the crab dip I have seen before was made with jack cheese? I'm thinking the crab might best be saved for some other use.

Go for it. Sounds good to me! I'd probably have it on toasted french bread slices, like you'd use for bruschetta.

Barring that, if you've got a package of cream cheese, some parmesan and several spices, you can make a good crab dip that can also be served on toasted bread.
