World Showcase?

If you like cheese and sweets...you can't miss the counter service in France, it's tucked back in a nook but it is sooo very fabulous! Without planning we stumbled on Off Kilter, the actors in the UK, and the actors by Morroco (I think it was there.) The only character we bumped into was Jafar. We spent 4 partial days at Epcot, our first night from 2pm to 9pm was spent mostly in the World Showcase. We went back one more time to have dinner there, do some more of the science stuff my son was itching to try and see Illuminations. What struck me I guess was how perfectly the theme of Illuminations reflects the world showcase. It's not just a beautiful show, it represents embracing the beauty of each other's countries and cultures. It give a warm feeling of oneness. ....And then when Illuminations is over, you all walk out together as one too, just like cattle (I even moo'ed and got the people around me mooing lol) Love Epcot, plan to spend more time there next time!

We typically have just visited the countries we were most interested in (i.e. Mexico is our fave so we're always there). But lately we've been feeling that we just miss too much, so we're going to spend our time this year really exploring each country. As I've read through this board, I simply cannot believe how many things we've missed because we were "busy" to bother ourselves with it. Not this time!!!

BTW, someone mentioned the architecture in Morocco...yes, you DO feel like you're really there...they did a phenomenal job with it!

World Showcase is a fabulous place but it is an area that you really have to devote some time to to appreciate it. Lots of people just rush by and never really explore the pavilions. We usually get so wrapped up in some of them that we still have never fully explored every pavilion in 5 trips.

We really love the Canada, UK and Italy pavilions. There are some great musical performers, skits, the FOOD, and just atmospheres. The living statues in France, "odd" character encounters - we spent about 10 minutes alone with Mushu on on of our trips in China, etc.. It really is a fun way to spend the day. :)

Here are a couple of new things I didn't see mentioned..... (we were there Sat)

The acrobat show in China is a new show (since we saw it last month anyway), there is a new exhibit in China about the Hong Kong Disney Park, The opening of China has been redone.

America has some walls up, they must be doing some improvement. If your kidlets go up to march with the Drum and Fife band they get a copy of the Declaration of Independence as a souvenier.

There is the Africa area (not a true pavillion) but they have a story time and the drums are set up all the time for kiddos to play on.

I know I will have more as time goes on, I plan on spending some time there each weekend that F&G is running

Oh yes Corndog....grail grail grail whooooo

How do you like the show so far? Rubbish!

I also enjoy chatting with the castmembers and learning about them and the countries they represent.

And a little thing I learned on my last trip. You can buy shots in Germany. ;)
