We are planning to hit Epcot one evening for dinner after MGM but cannot decide which restaurant to try. We've only eaten in Mexico so there are lots of options. My question is, if you had only one night and one restaurant to pick for dinner at Epcot, which would it be???

One of my favs is Morroco. The food is good, the belly dancer is entertaining and it certainly is something you don't find here in Nashville. (I mean we have good Mexican, Chinese, Italian etc.)

From a person formerly of Perth Amboy and Sayreville (if that carries any weight ;) :D ), here are some of my suggestions and reasons.

If you like this sort of thing, I always like Germany. Buffet style food and the they put on a good show with the band.

And you can't forget about Morocco with the belly dancer.

A nice quiet almost elegant dinner is the Bistro de Paris in France. It is the one upstairs.

There are many other restaurants that are very good.

I am also from Sayreville.

But to answer the question, one place that I would NOT go to is Alfredo's. We were there on 6/30 and it was horrible. Never had Fettuccine Alfredo that tasted like mac & cheese.

You're going to get as many different answers as there are restaurants. We love Chefs de France and the Bistro. Why? We LOVE french food...I LOVE french waiters (LOL) and the quality and consistency of our meals there have always been high. We've never had a bad experience...maybe it's just that good or we are lucky! They have a great wine list (all french) so I take the opportunity to try wines that aren't normally available here.

One of our favorite things to do at WS is to eat and drink our way around the world. We have drinks/appetizers in various sit down and counter restaurants. Some of the restaurants like France, Japan and England have places where you can sit and get a drink and appetizers. Sit at thw wine bar at Chefs and have a glass of wine and an appetizer or salad...sit in the loung in Japan and have sushi or tempura...sit in the pub in england and have scotch eggs or whatever! We usually get a beer and brat in Germany, too. This way we are able to take in some of the entertainment and watch Illuminations!

We used to do a full sit down (and still do occasionally) but we found that we just missed too much of the fun! We now do our sit downs for a late lunch...saves money, gives us a break from the heat, AND we don't miss the magic of epcot at night (our favorite time)!

So far, Le Cellier is my favorite restaurant in WDW.

I have to agree with buzzlady. Although I did not have the Alfredo, none of us in our party thought the food here was that good. I would not return to this restaurant at all.

My choice would be Le Cellier..

The prime rib is just wonderful, the setting inside and out, is wonderful and no complaints about service, either.

The price is right also!

Have a great time whever you end up!

Le Cellier is great but if you are looking for an "exotic" and different type of experience then try the Moroccan restaurant. :)

Thank you for your responses! They all have "weight!" I think it's a toss up between Le Cellier and Chefs De France. I see that Le Cellier has a children's menu, so that's a plus (this is not going to be a romantic meal!).

Our vote is Le Cellier. Excellent food, decent prices, and the best wait staff in the showcase. Just our two cents. Germany is alot of fun. If you must do France, lunch is a good deal.

I have to agree. It was 1997 since the last time we went to Alfredo's & we have not been back since. Two in our party got sick to their stomach.

I like Germany & Norway. At least till I try some others.

I loved LeCellier in 2000 but was really disappointed in the prime rib this year. We've also eaten at Rose and Crown, San Angel Inn and Teppanyaki. I think I enjoyed Teppanyaki the most. Watching the cook really interested the kids.

For those of you who enjoyed Morocco, did you have children with you? My husband and I would like to eat at Morocco, but I'm not sure my 2 picky eaters will enjoy it.

Any comments? or other suggestions? We've eaten at Mexico a few times and wanted to try something different.

Thanks for your help!

We like Teppanyaki. It's an experience and makes and impression on the kids. Food's delicious!

When we went it was just 2 adults but I can understand your concern because the menu is very different and if your kids are picky it could be a problem.

The child's menu ( Child's Menu for Marrakesh ) does included just a grilled chicken breast with fries so that might work for them while you and your DH enjoy something a little more interesting.

We took two kids who I would qualify as picky to the Morroco Resturant. Can't recall what they had, but I know they ate. Plus they were entertained while the belly dancer was on stage. They were too shy to go dance, but they went and sat on the edge and watched closely. (One of them loves to dance and I think if we did it again she might go for it now!)

I looked at menu and I am willing to bet one of them had the hamburger with french fries. (I think the kid lived off french fires at WDW)

Thanks for the info. I think we'll give Morocco a try.

I love these boards, I can always find an answer to all my questions.
