Happy Holidays !
We're very much looking forward to going back to Disney World in about two weeks, our first trip back in about six years or so. Just the two of us (kids are grown, long gone and out of the house) and we love to stay at the Epcot resorts because they're close to World Showcase and all the wonderful things it offers, especially the live music and performance in the various countries.

Our last trip we were trying to get used to 'The British Revolution' replacing 'The British Invasion' (that broke our hearts! Tells you our age, but could have stood and listened to them all day!), but at least we had the old stand-by stuff like 'Off Kilter', 'Mo'Rockin', 'World Showcase Players', etc...and sure knew they would always be there. Hah!

So, special Christmas performances aside, how do you think the entertainment is now is World Showcase compared to a few years back? Better? Not so much? Do you have favorites or must-do's? Maybe stuff that you don't mind skipping?

Hope we'll like the new, but a little in the dark about all that's changed so any thought's, opinions, or advice is really appreciated.
Hope you are all having a magical day!

A lot has changed. I miss Quick Step - the Celtic acoustic group that also used to play in the UK pavilion. We still enjoy Mariachi Cobre in Mexico and try to make time to see them. We also enjoy the drummers in Japan - they put on quite a show. And the mime climbing the stacked chairs in France is still fun to watch if we are passing by. I’ve only walked past and not stayed to listen but the new act in Morocco seemed to draw a crowd.

Not sure if Tutto Gusto was open last you visited, I think it opened around 6 years ago. It’s not entertainment, but a great wine bar (Italy - adjacent to Tutto Italia) that is worth a visit (no reservations; walkups only). And Spice Road Table in Morocco is ~4 years old and great - with Illuminations views possible from the patio if you time it right and the temperature permits.

World Showcase is still fabulous and I’m sure you’ll have a great time!!! Enjoy!!!

Must do’s for me.....British Revolution and Voices of Liberty

I’ll watch Sergio in Italy if I happen to be walking by.

I miss the World Showcase Players.

the list of cancelled acts in the past 10 years is extensive, just to name a few: Off Kilter, World Showcase Players, Fife and Drum, Ziti Sisters, Mo'Rockin, Flag waving in Italy...
Must do for me is Voices of Liberty, I stop for a few minutes for all other performers but not enough to say it's a must do every trip. My son plays with British Revolution, I enjoy their sets but not a must do every trip (shhh don't tell him :) )

I used to love the world showcase players as well. I usually go over the holidays, but I will always catch a few sets of British Evolution. There is usually more live shows during the holidays.

Thanks everyone for all the good info!
Since we'll be there after the special holiday performances, any thoughts about live music/shows at Canada and Morocco that would be worth spending time to see?
Heard something about some new outdoor music at Germany, but maybe it was for the holidays. Besides the America Pavilion, we'll be going to Biergarten and hearing that wonderful, fun live music there. Mexico, too, and have to check out Tutto Guto for a wine break. And British Revolution time, too!!
Anyway, thanks again for your input. I know we'll love it all, whatever is there. We can't wait to be back!
Hope you are all having a magical day! :goodvibes

I, too, was disapointed when British Invasion was replaced with British Revolution, but the current act has grown on me. They do a great job actually singing the operatic parts to Bohemian Rhapsody. I usually do at least 2 sets accompanied by a Harp Lager I get at the Fish and Chips shop. We also love the Voices of Liberty and the Dragon Land Acrobats in China. We still yearn for the Living Statues in France. They were fantastic. The new act with the stacked chairs is excellent, but the Living Statues were truly amazing.

The new percussion group in Germany is AWESOME. I, too, miss a lot of the oldies, but check these guys out. Fantastic. (Not just for the holidays - we saw them in early Sept 2018)

Are daily performance times for the WS listed anywhere so we don't miss certain shows? Thanks!

The Times Guide that GADisneyDad14 mentioned looks great, wasn't even aware it was online.
I've used Steve Soares site for a long time: http://www.wdwent.com/ and like it a lot because of the way it's organized. He's always seemed to do a great job keeping it up to date, too.

Germany now has a new act named Delta Q.:)

They are a "quirky" acapella group who are hard to describe.

We enjoyed them and they were having the best crowds ae have seen since the new Germany stage was opened a few years ago.:)

Must do's for us are Mariachi Cobre in Mexico (we'll usually watch more than one of their performances, because the set lists are different/alternate each time) and the Jeweled Dragon Acrobats in China (they seem to always have new stunts each time we visit). We enjoy the Serveur Amusant in France, Matsuriza drummers in Japan, and British Revolution in the UK too, but don't plan our day around them. We really loved visiting this past Christmas - there were some amazing performances, especially las Posadas in Mexico.
