We always do a dinner at world showcase. We usually chow down at Cantina de San Angel and I just realized it's going to be closed during our stay. I am open to suggestions. What COUNTER SERVICE places/meals are good in world showcase? We plan on drinking around the world, so we want a cheap place to eat quickly. So no table service places for us. Give me some yum yum food!

We love the Tangierine Cafe in Morocco. It's a must do on every trip. I like the lamb schwarma platter with hummus and tabbouleh. We were there a couple of weeks ago and they'd made some menu changes that looked pretty interesting but I stuck with my old favorite. :thumbsup2

I second the Tangerine Cafe - we loved it and some of the dishes are shareable. Plus, we loved sitting outside to eat lunch - it was quiet and peaceful, something you don't always get at counter service.

We ate at the counter service restaurant at United Kingdom and really enjoyed it. I've tried to look up the name but can't seem to find it on line. It is right next to the Rose and Crown. They serve really good fish and chips and you can sit by the lake and eat. Great place to relax.

On a side note, though, after we ate there, we walked by Tangierine Cafe and I told my husband I would have loved to have tried there, too so I don't think you can go wrong and either place.

The fish and chips place is really good in the UK.

I know a lot of people don't like them, but I would also recommend the Lotus Blossom Cafe in China and the Yakitori House in Japan.

It's not in WS but our favourite is Sunshine Seasons.

I guess in WS I would pick the fish & chips in England.

I love the counter service restaurants in Norway and France. Good sandwiches and desserts.

Bratwurst in Germany! or Eggrolls in China!

Thanks! Keep em comin!

I saw the tangerine cafe menu and it looks yummy! and fish and chips is always good too! I'm going to miss my mexican food though lol!

Last week, they did have a small kiosk in Mexico with nachos, quesadillas etc. I didn't look to closely at the menu because the line for that place was horrendous but it might be better when you're there.

We think Tangierine Cafe is better than a lot of table service restaurants at WDW.

Another vote for Tangierine Cafe in Morocco. I got the chicken platter there last month. Really yummy!

Sommerfest at Germany has great bratwurst with sauerkraut and delicious desserts. (Cheesecake, not pre-packaged, and black forest cake)
Yorkshire County Fish has fresh hot fish and chips, a good portion size and as good as I have ever had.
Boulangerie Pattiserie has the best counter service desserts, if you care to make a meal on only that.
Tangerine Cafe has more different options such as lamb with hummus that are really good portion sizes if you like that sort of thing.
Just a few of my favorites :)

BTW, Lotus Blossom Cafe in China has small portions and is not particularly tasty.

If the new menu on Allears for that place is complete, there is not much to it. I seem to think they didn't have nachos on the menu. Seriously, quick service Mexican with no nachos?!?! :confused3 I am guessing it is incomplete, but I actually liked the Cantina San Angel - even though I never ordered dessert there because I don't fancy the look of the churros ;)

Loved the QS from the japan paviliion - sorry forgot the name

Yakitori House. :) My husband loves this place. Unfortunately, as a vegetarian I have had a hard time finding things to eat here, but the rest of the family love it.

Another vote for Sunshine Seasons. I've heard mixed reviews, but DH and I really loved the Lotus Blossom Cafe in the China pavilion. The beef noodle bowl and the shrimp fried rice with egg roll are really good and really big portions. We ended up eating there 3 times on our last visit.:dance3:
