Our trip is I n 2 weeks and I’ve never done World showcase as an adult. After a 1/2 day with our young kids in Epcot DH and I are going to put them to bed and my mom will babysit while we return to the park. We will probably eat with the kids so we are looking for a place to have wine, beer & dessert and watch the fireworks. Do I need reservations for this? Or can we sit in a couple bars? I think it would be nice nice to go to a couple places... but I don’t know what to expect. Touring plans says it will be a 6/10 for crowds that day

Try a fireworks cruise or a dessert fireworks. They are a little pricey, but you can’t beat the view.

Yes! We reserved one for our adult kids as a treat while we babysit the grandkids. It happens to be on night Epcot has EMH so they can enjoy something after the cruise. Not sure how early they book up with your trip in 2 weeks, but if interested it can't hurt to call. It can't be booked online. Call (407) 939-7529, ask for a "speciality cruise" and then tell them you would like to see Illuminations.

My advice would be to just stroll around World Showcase and see what is offered at the QS spots in each country as well as in the shops. Many of the QS spots and shops offer country specific snacks/sweets and wines/beers/adult beverages. My DH and I also really like Tutt Gusto Wine Cellar in Italy. The have a little room off to the side with little love seats and tables where we get a bottle of wine and share some of their small plates. I'm not what they have in terms of dessert there. There is also La Cava inside the Mexico Pavilion. They have great margaritas and you can sit and get chips and salsa, etc but I don't think they have dessert. You do not needs ADRS at either spot but both places are pretty small so you might have to wait a bit to be seated. There are really any traditional bars in Epcot where you can sit and kind of linger over drinks. Besides La Cava and Tutt Gusto my DH and I just walk around and get drinks at the various kiosks. One place you might like is the Ice Cream place in France. They serve and ice cream martini there - your choice of ice cream and your choice of alcohol poured over he ice cream in a martini glass. They do NOT skimp on the alcohol LOL!! We also like the Saki "bar" in the Mitsukoshi store in Japan. The kiosk in front of France has one of my favorite drinks - Grand Marnier Orange Slush and the Joy of Tea kiosk in China has my other favorite - Tipsy Ducks in Love. Both are sweet beverages. Strolling around World Showcase is our absolute favorite thing to do for a date!

In two weeks it will still be the Flower and Garden festival. I would probably just enjoy walking around the WS. There are many bars you can go to plus you can sample the festival booths.

The Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar that someone else mentioned in Italy is also a nice spot that you can walk up to without an ADR.

We did this last trip. We ate and drank around the world and stumbled on the UK. We decided to grab some fish and chips and beer. Then a seat magically opened up by the water. We grabbed it around 8:30 and Illuminations started at 9. It was a perfect unplanned night. I knew the seating was there and read it was a great spot to grab a seat to eat, drink and watch Illuminations but it can be very hard to snag a seat so I never thought it would happen and wasn't counting on it. I actually forgot about it until we were there. We literally walked up at the perfect moment.

I would start in the UK, grab a beer and then wander around the WS and stop when you see something you like. My husband and I love to do this. Last trip, we found a great spot around the Morocco area by the water, and watched the fireworks.
