Me and my friend just drank our way around the world in Epcot on New Years day. We didnt go out to celebrate New Years Eve at all cause we had the whole day planned out at Epcot and woke up at 5am to drive up on New Years Day. It was so much fun but next time we try this (we'll be back on the 30th) we plan on eating alot more and going a little slower along the way.
We started in Future World and one of the Kiosks by Innoventions sold Pizza and they also had Yingling so that was our US drink.
We started around the world in Canada and just as you enter there is an outdoor bar right next to the entrance to Le Celliers. They have Moosehead and Labatts. We each had a Labbats on tap.
Going into Great Brittan we of coarse stopped by Rose & Crown where the hat lady was playing her piano. She can sing Supercalifragilstic expialadocias backwards! Blew my mind. I cant even spell it properly forwards! Anyways there really was no room to sit and the bar has no stools around it so its standing room only unless you have a table reservation. Thats okay though this is a full bar with any type of liquor you can immagine and numerous beers on tap. We each had a Harps.
France was really nice. They have a wine store where they have numerous different types of wine you can purchase a glass of. They had champaigne, reds and whites. We each had a glass of champainge and then went into their pastry shop and shared the best ham and cheese croisant and went into the store where they have some tables in chairs in the back. Also we took my two sisters 12 & 15 and his DD 10 and they had a creme puff a cookie and a slice of cheesecake. I tasted all of it and it was very good.
Onto Moroco.... we decided to have a Morocan red wine. There really was no where to "SIT" here, we kinda just walked around Moroco and looked in the shopps as we sipped our wine. We found It was VERY dry but I did enjoy it very much. Ohh they were selling wine in the very back of Morroco to the left at the back of the restaurant there was a QS counter. It was kinda tough to find.
In Japan we went to the quick service restaurant and sharred a cup of hot saki and a couple of sushi rolls. We sat outside the QS which is at the top of a hill and it was very quiet and romantic up there. They have Japaneese gardens and little creeks with beautiful lanters hanging from the trees.
We skipped having a drink in The American Adventure as we already had our Yuingling and were already feeling the effects of the previous countrues.
Italy. We really enjoyed Italy but to be honest this is where things became a little blurry for me. We each had a glass of white Italian wine. I belive I went on a potty break and Curt bought me my glass so Im not sure where he went to get it. We sat outside in the courtyard by the fountain.
Germany, if you go all the way into the back there is a quick service restaurant and they have some beers on tap. We each had a warsteiner. This is where we stopped to watch Illuminations. We took a seat up at some benches up along the water.
China- I have no idea I really can't remember what we did in China. Ohh wait it's comming back to me now. The quick service restaurant to the left had some authentic Chineese beers. I have no clue what it was called. At this point we were just on a mission to finish and stay standing.
Norway- There was an outdoor kiosk that sold Norweigan beer. We shared a bottle again I cant remember what this is called.
Mexico- We finally made it to Mexico and we're both still standing.. well kind of. We each decided to celebrate our accomplishment by having our own frozen margaritas.
After Mexico we had to run back to try to do Soarin before the park closed and I'm sad to say that I don't remeber any of Soarin at all.... not a good thing. (But I used this as my main reason as to why I have to go back ASAP so that's why we're returning at the end of the month)
So if there are any of you who think it would be a great idea to drink around the world let me give you a little advice. Share a drink in every country do NOT try to have your own in each and make sure to go slow and eat something at every stop. Im a pretty good drinker and have a high tollerance but even I couldnt really handle it. But I did survive!
