World Series winners in MK parade...Any news?

Historically the past two years it’s been that Saturday (I know since I was there for post 10k medal photos)

I know the actual parade in Boston is tomorrow so I’d assume Friday or Saturday for Disney

Alex Cora tweeted today about going to Puerto Rico on Saturday. He previously mentioned that he wanted to take the whole team and the trophy - not sure if that is actually happening or if it will just be him and a handful of players but thought I'd mention it.

This qualifies as even less trustworthy than a bus driver rumor but my parents are in WDW now and have been asking cast members if they know when the players might be there. The person they spoke to at the concierge desk at Kidani said "they were already here on Monday" which is quite obviously not true since they were in the air flying back from LA all day Monday. LOL So, no information there.

The second person they asked (described by my mother as "a manager looking person") at Epcot said they are not doing it this year because this was not a particularly noteworthy win like the Sox in 2004, the Cubs a couple of years back and the Astros last year. Again, I don't trust this info at all and suspect that a "manager looking person" at Epcot would not be on the list of people in the know about these things but figured I'd share anyway. Also, if I remember correctly Mike Lowell visited after the Sox won in 2007 and that was not a noteworthy year for any reason. Does anyone remember if the Royals visited when they won a couple of years back or if the 2013 Sox visited?

I don't think the Giants visited in any of their three wins since 2010. Is it mostly an east coast team thing to do?

I would think the Giants would go to DLR since it's much closer to home.

I don't think they did! At least not as a team affiliated thing. A few who go often as it is went again with their families in the offseason, but that's about it. On the other hand, Hunter Pence got engaged at DisneyWorld!

With so many of the Red Sox having young kids who have been ALL over the media - I would be surprised if no one wanted to go...BUT - this year the World Series was broadcast by FOX - could it be something they only do if ABC has it?

Watching closely - have friends from Massachusetts that are there now and we arrive on Monday!

Didn't ABC recently acquire FOX?

I asked a guy in sunshine seasons today if he knew. He had an old school bosox jersey on, so i figured he might have a clue. First thing he said:
"Man, so many ppl have asked me that today already."

He didn't know.

Not Fox Sports, mostly everything else.

Certainly not the place for this conversation, but they did not acquire Fox News, Fox Sports, or the Fox TV Network. They all remain part of "New Fox". They did, however, get the regional Fox Sports Networks (like YES and Fox Sports Ohio, etc) and they did also get FX, FXX, and all the other entertainment based Fox cable channels.

That said... the world series parade would not be associated with ABC, it would be a separate promotional event.
