Okay,

These are probably stupid questions, but I think we will be on the Wonder during the world series and definitely for Thursday night Survivor. Any chance of seeing these things?

Not sure about Survivor, I guess that would just depend on the signal... But they will show the World Series. The ESPN sports bar carries all the major sporting events. World Series, Stanley Cup, Super Bowl, ETC.

No on Survivor, that's CBS.

World Series, probably yes.

I was on the Magic last year during the world series and we were only able to watch it on the first night. After that they couldn't get the signal. As for the ESPN bar every time we went up there all they had on was car racing. So I don't know about seeing the world series.

No Survivor? Someone posted a while back that they were able to watch Survivor while away on their cruise on the Magic... I questioned it, since WE weren't able to, but I was assured they DID see it, and a few others had said they watched Survivor, too.. Anyone out there who has SEEN Survivor while on your cruise??? I'm a faithful Survivor fan. NEVER missed it except for once while we were on our cruise..

No Survivor...
We were on the April 28-May 5 cruise last year when the final episode was to air. No broadcasts on board. A girl we met onboard had the unlimited internet package so I checked who won the next day and had to watch my taped episode when I returned home.

No Survivor and no internet when we cruised back in August 2000. I ended up asking the cruise director (Rick) if he knew who got booted from the island. He ended up letting me look up the information on his computer while we were docked at Castaway Cay. This was about 3 weeks before the first internet cafe appeared on the Disney Magic.

We saw the final episode of Survivor this past May. I was surprised because I wasn't expecting to be able to watch it. I had the VCR set to tape it at home. When we returned to the statement from dinner (the kids left the table earlier) they were watching it. We got to see Vecepia win!! HTH

I would say, it depends. At first, the ship only had ABC. It now has CBS, not NBC. Anyways, at times on the Eastern, the TV signals are not available (except some like CNN which is available all the time). If it is during this black out period, then it isn't available. I don't believe that the Wonder has any blackout times. But with that said, some of the ABC and CBS programming is blocked since they are New York stations. The local ABC and CBS stations may require it if they are within a certain distance.

Those are the two main stations that are aired on the ships. It may be true that signal could be lost at times.

I know for sure that i screamed when my mother accidently turned the final show of surviour last may. I was taping and the show was alread half over, lol. :p

Then she did the same thing the next morning with the CBS morning show, spoiled the surprise!:(

Enjoy, and maybe u should still tape, the activities can take over your night, and u might miss the show anyway!!!:D

We were on the Wonder 4 night last year and my little boy and I went to the ESPN Zone to watch the Yankees-Dbacks. It was GREAT and I'd highly recommend it. Tons of fun! Enjoy.
