Hello! I haven't been on board for a while - full-time RN, full-time student for CRNP, full-time single mom and WDW vacations to boot! - but today I come with a question regarding a resort that I stumbled upon via an ad on Facebook: World Quest Orlando.

Our next WDW vacation is already booked for October 26th - November 2nd; my favorite time of year to go, plus it'll give my DD an opportunity to experience MNSSHP and my favorite band Hanson :) is playing at the Food & Wine Festival on the 31st and 1st!

Typically it's just the 2 of us going and therefore I opt for a resort hotel, but since 6 family members are joining us on this trip I went ahead and booked The Vistana in LBV to give us more space. I haven't stayed there in nearly 2 decades though but the current reviews are favorable, HOWEVER, as I mentioned above, I came across World Quest this morning and decided to check out the resort.

The website, photos, and price are fantastic. I'd be saving over $100/night if we stayed there for a room nearly 400 sq ft larger than ours at Vistana. They also provide free transportation to the parks compared to the $7/day/person shuttle fee at Vistana. Has anyone stayed at World Quest? Worth it? Nice resort?

I'd love to hear all feedback. I'm seriously considering canceling our Vistana reservation and reserving the 3-bedroom at WQ as I type this but don't want to jump the gun.

TIA!

I've never stayed there, but I looked it up on Trip Advisor and the reviews are very good. They do charge a one-time $39 cleaning fee and a $12 a day resort fee according to the website.

We LOVE it there. Have stayed there 3 times and recommend it to all our friends. It is minutes away from all the Disney parks, tons of room, very clean and modern, very quiet, and so affordable.

The cleaning fee that the previous posted quoted is only if you stay less than 5 nights, which it doesn't appear you are, so you won't have to pay that.

The only thing I will say, is that you definitely need a car. We never used the shuttles, but we have met many people during out stays that complained the shuttle times are terrible and unreliable. They definitely do not run in time for rope drop and I heard if there aren't enough people, they cancel them for the day.

Thanks so much for the input and advice! I did read last night about there being only 3 shuttles a day, which might pose a problem. A car won't be as my aunt [who will be joining us] lives in a suburb of West Palm Beach and will be driving to the resort. Her SUV is plenty big enough for all of us, the only concern being that'd I'd have to lug DD's car seat with us.
