DD has friends from college who will be playing softball in this complex the week we are in Disney. DD would like to go watch her friends games or at least one of them.

Is there a cost to get into the games and how do you get there from the POP and from the parks? Can you walk there from the POP?

Theorhetically, you could walk there from the POP, but in all practicality, that's not something you should do. There are no sidewalks connecting the two areas, and you would have to walk along and cross a major 6-lane highway, not to mention walking up and along other busy traffic areas. I wouldn't recommend it.

:earsboy:

Thanks for the information about walking not being safe!

What about any entrance fees?:wave2:

Is there another place where I can post this or a numver I can call to get an answer?

Muggle - admission prices:

Adults $10.50 (tax included)
Children $ 7.75 (tax included)

 Oh my! I had no idea! I was thinking $1 or $2.

DD really wants to see her friends play but no way are we paying $21 to see a bit of a softball game!

That is robbery! How does Disney get away with this? :earseek: :(

Oh I am sorry I got carried away! Thank you for answering my question. :wave2:

I'm not an expert, but I have played in softball tournaments at the WWofS...and I guess they can get away with charging that for admission because you don't just buy admission to the one softball game you're going to. You buy admission to the Wide World of Sports Complex as a whole. Now, granted, sometimes the only thing going on at the Complex is a tournament in one specified sport, but nonetheless, that's how they look at it.

To tell the truth, I've been there a number of times for tournaments and the stands are always full of spectators (friends, family, whoever)...

...and don't forget to read the thread regarding lower priced tickets to the parks if you are attending a sporting event at the wide world of sports. The savings are really terrific!

I understand that you can use one of your pluses if you have a hopper plus ticket, or UHPs

What thread are you talking about? I tried to do a search but come up empty?

I have already bought hopper passes but they are not pluses. What discount are out there? Help!:wave2:
