World of Disney versus other Disney stores; worth it??

Is World of Disney store much better on selection than other Disney stores in the Orlando area or other Disney stores? I live in Dallas and have a large Disney store near me. I'm in Orlando now for a conference, and wanted to do a little shopping for my girls at WOD. I have a rental car and am staying off site at JW Marriott Grande Lakes. Is the parking issue at DTD making it not worth it? I have not ever been to DTD in Florida so was looking forward to seeing it (we usually stay at BLT and don't go to DTD due to age of our kids), but I will not go if I will spend an hour parking. If recommending DTD, please advise on any tips for parking. Thank you!

It is a fun store. Bigger than a mall Disney store. If you can go first thing in the morning parking is not as crazy.

The WofD store is much larger than ANY other Disney store I've been in anywhere and that includes Cincinnati, the now-closed store in Florence, Ky., the store in Miami in Bayshore. We love wandering thru the WofD--especially the kitchen and household goods department. I like picking up something to use in the kitchen

Thank you for the quick replies! I have to go tonight, as it is the only time I have around my conference activities. Is Saturday night going to insane at DTD? Is there a place to park that is near WOD so I can get in and out? I do not plan on eating there.

Local here- I would not attempt to park at DTD on a Saturday night. Not with all the construction. If you feel you NEED to go, you may be able to get to the valet and pay to park close to WOD. In my honest opinion it is not worth it. Go to BW and browse the shops there, walk along the water, check out the shops at Yacht and Beach.

I went ahead and went tonight, and had absolutely no problems parking in the Casting lot, got there around 7:20PM!! So fun!!
