Hi all - for those of you who do not know, the new World of Disney Store opened on 5th Avenue this week, replacing the old Disney Store. I just went up there this morning and had some fun.
It seems it is similar to the old Disney store but carries some of the Park Merchandise. That was nice to see. They also have a lot of NY specific merchandise and some very "hip" adults clothing. As for the NY specific merchandise there was a cute Statue of Liberty Hat with ears, NYPD hat with ears and a cab driver hat with Goofy's Ears. There's also tees and other souvenirs. But the best are the NEW Mr. Potato Heads parts.
For those of you who collect these parts the new parts are as follows:
NYC Police Hat
Mickey Sunglasses that show the Empire State Building
NYC World of Disney Baseball Cap
Mickey shaped salted pretzel
Statue of Liberty Hat
Statue of Liberty Torch
Fireman's Hat
Subway Map
Slice of Pizza with Mickey shaped Pepperoni
Red NYC World of Disney Pocketbook/Briefcase
They also have the regular parts there as well. Same setup as Disney World and you can buy a box of parts for $18.00 (all you can fit in the box).
I was so excited to see this. Also they have a princess Meet & Greet that you can reserve for your Disney Princess at a price. It's definately more magical than the old Disney Store.
