Can anyone help me out with a link for the Wine Trattoria seating with the World of Color lunch package? Does lunch or dinner have any effect on the seating? We will be at CA on Thursday 10/23 and Friday 10/24-should we save World of Color for Friday night when the crowds are higher so we can fit in more attractions on Thursday night? Thursdau night has one early show and Friday night has two shows but we would want to see the earlier show. Both nights are Halloween Party nights and I need to make up my mind and book my ADR's!!

FYI - there is no seating unless you count sitting on the ground. I mention it because if you get there early, it can be difficult for some people to stand or sit on the ground for a long period.

How early did you arrive for the show to get down in the front and how wet did you get down there?? :)

About 35 minutes before the show and the line was actually already let in. I just went up to the CM at the entrance and he escorted me down to that area. We got wet, but not bucket-full of water dumped on us, the mist was constant and had to get a fleece jacket over us to keep from getting soaked.

Thanks for your help! I have seen suggestions to bring ponchos but wasn't sure if they were really necessary :)
Did the CM take you to the front because you had the package meal or because there was some pixie dust waiting for you that night? 35 minutes would be great! Everything I read said 90 minutes and I don't think my kids will last that long waiting in line before the show even starts.....Do people sit on the ground up along the railing if we are lucky enough to get front seating? I plan on bringing seat cushions with us this trip (they work great for parades too!) so we have no problem sitting on the ground-but standing for that long at the end of the night might make my family a little cranky!! lol

No pixie dust. The CM took us to the area where the dining FP was supposed to be and ended up behind a family with a double stroller. We sat behind that stroller up until the show time and stood up when it started. They had their kids in the stroller so no adults were blocking our view. A poncho is a good idea.

I wouldn't bring seat cushions for the show itself (although they will come in handy for the wait beforehand). Every time we've seen WOC, CMs make the audience stand up when the show starts. Unless someone is on a bench for disabled or VIP viewing, I haven't seen people remain seated on the ground during the show.

Does anyone have any veteran advice as to whether Thursday or Friday will be the better night to view World of Color with the lowest crowd level wait time? Thursday night show is at 8:15 but the only show and Friday has a 9 and 10:15 I think. We plan on being in CA both evenings but only want to watch World of Color once and maybe try to catch some of it from Mickey's Fun Wheel.
jani3-what night of the week was your experience?

Mickey's Fun Wheel doesn't run during WOC because it is used for some of the effects. If your dates are Thursday, 10/22, and Friday, 10/23, there are MHPs both those nights and the 23rd is sold out. So DCA will be more crowded than usual in the evenings both nights as non-partygoers have to leave DL. If your kids can stay up later, I would try for the second show on Friday. The later shows can be less crowded and require less waiting for good spots.

The Halloween parties start in less than 2 weeks, so keep checking this board for updated info. I'm sure that people will be reporting back on their experiences with WOC on party nights.
