World of Color Dining Packages Announced

WCT--Wine Country Trattoria is not new, we ate there last summer. We loved it, in fact, we ended up eating there two days in a row we liked it so much.
I think it had a different name - Golden Vine Trattoria maybe?

So at AGs, if they're seating dinner at times like 4:00 and 4:10, how do the do the character break? I've got a 3:30 lunch and a girl who needs her princesses! Are we going to get shortchanged?

I believe WCT starts WOC package at 4pm but AG doesn't start until 5pm.

So weird! My original phone call (friday) they said outdoor seating & I asked about indoors (in case it is hot) and I was told WOC is outdoor only at WCT. Today when I called to push our time back to 6:30 I was told 1) seating will be both indoor & outdoor for WOC/WCT with no price difference & 2) I was told that seats are guaranteed (otherwise I wouldn't have pushed my time back by 2 1/2 hours!)....now I'm worried I did the wrong thing.:headache:

I know! I wanted to push ours back to at least 6 but the CM thought the earlier the better to insure our getting tickets so I left it alone. But she seemed positive that WOC seating was only indoors.

I was under the impression there would be no princesses at the WOC at Ariel's.

We are doing lunch, not a dinner package. We have one of the last lunch ressies. My concern was that late lunch people would get shafted on the characters. But WoC packages don't start until 5, which is 90 minutes after our PS.

Yes, they are accepting regular reservations for their regular menu as well.

What was explained to me was that the entire reservation needs to EITHER
1) order off the WOC Pre-fix menu & get your WOC preferred tickets
2or
2) order off the regular menu, no WOC preferred tickets

I was told that if you have WOC reservations at WCT when you get to the restuarant you CAN switch over to the regular menu BUT you will NOT get your WOC tickets.

If you have a regular reservation the only way you can switch to the WOC package is if there is an opening or cancellation.

Thanks!

You should be fine... we have done the late lunch ressies in the past, even though there are seating times like 10 minutes apart, they get you all down past Ariel, seated, take your order, and do that with like 2 more groups (or maybe a group before yours and a group after--but like 3 groups get all settled)... and then they start announcing princesses... so you can either just get seated and they start announcing princesses, or maybe already have your food before they start announcing them, depending on where you are in the grouping for that particular run of princesses... then they start through, in my experience they are spaced about 5 minutes apart... so from the time princess #1 is announced to princess #4 is about 20 minutes. And they go in a specific order through the crowd and disappear. Then I am sure they get like a 30 minute break and do it all again for the next batch of people. Making it so they make 1 round in 90 minutes (which is the longest they will let you sit there.)

Hope this helps... I am sure no one will get short changed! But, on slow days you might get like the Fairy Godmother, Princess Minnie, Mulan and Pocahontas. But I think that is pretty rare... ;)

:cool1: I called this morning (Monday) and was able to get a World of Color seating for June 16th.

I can't believe it!!!! :goodvibes My kids are soooo excited. I was sure that it would be all sold out by now.

Thanks everyone on the DIS for giving the rest of us the heads up about WOC!!!! You guys are awesome! :dance3::dance3:

So I ate at Ariel's yesterday as asked about WoC packages. Even the staff seems confused about what is going on. So I'll post of mixed on info I remember between what people at AG told me and what the F! preferred seating guy was saying.

One option seemed to be purchase a boxed meal type of thing, a picnic basket, and then proceeds to a standing area. With that basket came a preferred area ticket.

The other was having dinner at one of the WoC restaurants and getting that preferred ticket. It still seemed pretty up in the air on how that all was going to work.

Not sure if this is old info. I haven't been keeping up on this thread. The F! CM did say he heard there was supposed to be a WoC viewing that night for CMs at 11:30, but perhaps he was confused with next weekend.

Continuing the trend of what has been happening to other folks on this board, Disney Dining called Saturday to move our WOC AG grotto ressie from 5:20 on 11 Jun to 6 PM.
