World of Color Dessert Party 7:15 vs. 8:00

Hi! So, I recently booked the WOC dessert party for 7:15 PM for Sept 6th, and then yesterday 8:00 PM opened, so I booked that. Why is there a 7:15 seating and an 8:00 PM seating? (There is also a 9:15 seating for the later show). Also, there are no more spots for the 7:15 seating-it's only showing the other two options...we have a 4 year old with us who is NOT going to sit for 2 hours before the show, so I am thinking the 8:00 one is the correct choice for us? But if there is an early seating for the same show, will all the good view seats be taken? I am VERY confused by this, as I've never seen 2 times offered for the same show before. Any advice/experience would be appreciated! Thanks!

There are two shows.
The 8pm is the one you want, go get your table assignment around 45mins early and then you can arrive at the table anytime you like - get your drinks and treats and enjoy the show.

The 9:15pm slot is for the late show.

I'd say the 7:15 was a glitch.

I did World of Color Desert Party on Tuesday 27 June

I booked for the first show. On the day there are two steps.
1. Check In
Check in opens at 7pm for the 9pm show. The check in area is at the Eureka water wheel near the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. I was there about 6.45pm and was second in line. By being so early I was able to request the type of table which suited me best. I chose the low table and asked for the area at the grass area where there were no people in front of me. I was given a wristband and told to come back at 8pm.

2. Entry to the viewing areas. At 8pm a CM gathered everyone with a wristband and walked us over to the viewing area. My wristband and name was checked by the cm and I was brought to my assigned table, number 38.

The Desert Party is shared seating, 4 per table so even though I was solo, a family was was also assigned to my table.

When we did the 8:00 dessert party I checked in around 7:30. There were maybe 15 people in front of me, but still plenty of tables to choose from. They gave me exactly what I wanted- a low table at the end of a row so we could have a little more space. Great view!
