World of Color closing?!?!?!

This totally sucks. I have never seen WOC. Just last night my wife and I bought annual passes to DL, and were planning on seeing WOC on Wednesday night. Needless to say, I am not a happy camper right now. Anyone else saddened by this news?

And while I am able to laugh as much as the next guy, I am really surprised that DISBoards would post something this big with Disney as the subject of the punch line.

I suspect that MANY have called DLR today asking about this "closure." Also, I would be willing to be that this part, "Disney had no further comment on the matter stating only that guests with FASTPASS tickets for tonight’s show should check with cast members to determine whether World of Color will go on as scheduled and, if not, whether there is some other use for their fastpasses. Reports from Disneyland are not looking good. The World of Color fountain platform has been lowered to its full underwater resting position and show technicians have been notified not to report to work." will result in questions being asked of Cast Members tonight AND at least one technician making a phone call to find out if s/he has a job.

Sigh... never did like this day as a kid.

I am RIGHT there with ya! ANd I still don't!!! I already had to have a discussion with my ds7 that Mommy does NOT like this day and he is forbidden to do anything prankish today at ALL! (this was after he went and stuck a pin in his sister's bed and tried to get her to SIT on it....sheesh!

Thanks Hydro Guy! I always just read the top half, you know the important stuff! There was also a link on the Budget Board this morning about how the refillable mugs will be lifetime now rather then just for "that trip"....another April Fools joke
