Working for the Mouse, while living at FW?

When I worked there (Epcot) I was told that I could NOT be seen at the Fort in my Epcot costume..
Being in costume outside the park (or in many cases outside of your work area) will spoil the magic for many guests.

When my mom looked into working for the mouse she found that the perks didn't kick in right away for a seasonal CM. For her, it would have taken like 3 years to get to the best perks.

I live in the area. If you go into any store or restaurant off property, you will see many cast members shopping and/or dining in their costume. You just can't be in costume on another Disney property that is out of character for your costume. I.E. I couldn't wear my Epcot costume at the Fort because the CM's at the Fort have their own, themed costumes.

Lou... back in '07 when Rick was laid off & I needed to get a 2nd job, I thought about going back to Disney & working merchandise. However, the driving distance out-weighed the $$$ I would have made. Hence, the Home Depot job. Now, my main job allows me the freedom to work as much or as little as needed & I come & go as I please!! I love it! Hope you enjoyed Georgia! I love those mountains!
