I have a bit of a question about the ICP at disney. I'm aware that there is a summer program, but I was wondering if there was a similar program for the fall? I'm enrolled for a Winter start (Jan 2011) at an animation school, and the workload has lessened at my parents shop that I feel I can go away to work for the fall (especially as they hire more people). Does one need to have completed a year of college to apply for the ICP program?

I can't help you with your question, perhaps this link can?

My DD did the ICP a few years back but it was during the summer months between either year 1 & 2 or 3 & 4 at University. She is there now working in the Cultural Rep program. There are also forums where you can ask away...perhaps that site will guide you there or someone else here might know on another thread perhaps?

Good Luck!!

I did the ICP back in 2005 and I don't remember there being any positions in the fall. I was there June to September and I was one of the last to leave. I didn't think anyone came after me.

If I remember correctly, there are a couple of threads on the college board about the ICP.

Hey! I'm on the ICP right now. You can PM me if you have any questions.:goodvibes

It really depends on what country you're from, so if you can give us a little more information, we might be able to help you out!:thumbsup2

I'm in Entertainment, by the way.

Thank you for all the replies!

I'm from the great frozen land of Canada, but unfortunately for me I come from the wrong side of Canada to be bilingual, which I assume is a prerequisite for working at the Canada pavilion in the WS.

I'm going to go browse the college board now, see what I can find there.

My daughter works in Canada...she is not bilingual.:confused3

I meant the College board..duh...I am sure there's all kinds of info there!

Really? I remember seeing somewhere that to work at the Canada Pavilion you must be bilingual. I guess I was mistaken.

Nope..I am sure it's an asset? But she does not and I know a few of her friends there also in Canada..and they also don't.

Well, that's a relief to hear! I can speak some french, but unless the situation demands me to tell people what colour their cat is, I would be hooped.

I guess now the two main questions would be if there is a program or even a way to work there in the fall, and if it would be too late to reply.
