Never say: "Hey Boss, you hired a bunch of other guys and pay them more than me but I do more work.... yada yada.... I WANT more money.
Say: "Hey Boss, I've worked here a long while, I love working here and with you. I believe you value my time here. I'd love to make more money. What can I DO to earn more money or climb the ladder?'
Former looks selfish, the later looks motivated. Even though it says the same thing.
