Where do you work? CiCi's Pizza.
What is your job title? 'Team member'
What duties does that consist of?
Pizza Stocker- Basically making sure the buffet if fully stocked with hot pizza and clean. We are responsible for putting the glaze and powdered sugar on the different desserts we serve. We also take special orders out to people. We always have to use our name to make a 'personal connection'.
Salad bar - Making sure all the veggie bowls are fully stocked and everything is clean. Making sure the pitches of veggies in the fridge are full and making sure there are backups in the huge walk in fridge.
Register - Checking people out, writing take outs and answering the phones. We also make sure everyone has their glasses. We have a little speech we always have to say. When they walk in we say 'Hi. Welcome to CiCi's!' in a nice perky tone. We ask them how their days has been going, if they've been here before, and after they check out we tell them 'Here's your cups. My name is Jennifer, don't hesitate to ask if you need anything. Have a good meal!' And when we see them walk out the door we always have to say something like 'Thank you guys for coming!'
How much do you make per hour? $6.25 -_-
About how many hours do you work weekly? About 25-28
About how many hours do you work daily? Around 5 to 5 1/2 unless they let me off early.
What shift do you usually work? Depends. They schedule me differently. It's either about 11 - 4:30 or around 4:30 to 9.
Do you like your co-workers? Eh, they are alright. They don't seem to care for me that much but I honestly couldn't care less.
How do you like your bosses/boss? There are 4 managers. Out of the 4 I actually only like working with one of them. He's the most friendly and he usually lets me off early! The other 3 are sort of hostile towards me.
What is your favorite thing about your job? The pay and free food.
What is your least favorite thing about your job? The salad bar and my feet hurting. I DESPISE doing salad bar. It's ickyyyyyy.
Would you reccomend people to work there? Yes, absolutely.
Are you good at what you do? I think so. On the register Monday night I didn't have any 'over rings' (basically when you screw up and have to void something.) and I was only 1 penny short. That's really great when they hope people aren't short more than 2 DOLLARS.
When you first started, what were you most nervous about? TRAINING! BK was horrible, awful at training so I was worried that most places ran like that. They are so much better, I was very relieved.
What are little things you do to make your shift go by faster? I try not to look at the clock, and I also try not wishing for the shift to be over until way later in the shift.
Are there any dress requirements? Yessum. We have to wear these black t-shirts with the CiCi's logo on it. Black pants. Black shoes. And a black hat. Did I mention how much I hate black? Anyways, we also have to wear a apron, tuck our shirt in, and the girls must have their hair up.
Do you visit your work place often when you are not working? I eat there a lot before and after my shift.
What are the customers like that come there? On Tuesdays a lot of older people come in because it's Senior discount day. A lot of them are regulars and so so friendly.
Are they usually friendly/snobby/mean/etc? Most of the time they are super friendly and talkative. I love how they treat me like an equal instead of looking down upon me for working a parttime job.
Do you have many regulars that you've gotten to know? There's this one lady who always comes in wearing Disney shirts. She loves hearing about my WDW trips.
Any of the quirks to know about? The girls don't usually tuck their shirts in. I for one HATE tucking my shirt in so I just fold up the ends to make it appear more like it is tucked in. They are not all that strict anyways.
Any funny stories you'd like to share? Last weekend a co-worker was showing me how they make the sweet tea and we had to go fill this pitcher up with sugar (we are in the south, duh.

) but the bucket the sugar is usually in was empty. So we went to get this big guy who cooks the pizza to help us. We was messing around with the sugar bag and started punching it, welll......ya. His fist went right through the paper bag and sugar started POURING out. We had to clean it up quick before the manager saw but I just couldn't stop laughing. I was hysterical, it was simply hilarious. I was useless, I can't function until I stop giggling. Lol.
