All for now.

Where do you work? CiCi's Pizza.
What is your job title? 'Team member'
What duties does that consist of?
Pizza Stocker- Basically making sure the buffet if fully stocked with hot pizza and clean. We are responsible for putting the glaze and powdered sugar on the different desserts we serve. We also take special orders out to people. We always have to use our name to make a 'personal connection'.
Salad bar - Making sure all the veggie bowls are fully stocked and everything is clean. Making sure the pitches of veggies in the fridge are full and making sure there are backups in the huge walk in fridge.
Register - Checking people out, writing take outs and answering the phones. We also make sure everyone has their glasses. We have a little speech we always have to say. When they walk in we say 'Hi. Welcome to CiCi's!' in a nice perky tone. We ask them how their days has been going, if they've been here before, and after they check out we tell them 'Here's your cups. My name is Jennifer, don't hesitate to ask if you need anything. Have a good meal!' And when we see them walk out the door we always have to say something like 'Thank you guys for coming!'
How much do you make per hour? $6.25 -_-
About how many hours do you work weekly? About 25-28
About how many hours do you work daily? Around 5 to 5 1/2 unless they let me off early.
What shift do you usually work? Depends. They schedule me differently. It's either about 11 - 4:30 or around 4:30 to 9.
Do you like your co-workers? Eh, they are alright. They don't seem to care for me that much but I honestly couldn't care less.
How do you like your bosses/boss? There are 4 managers. Out of the 4 I actually only like working with one of them. He's the most friendly and he usually lets me off early! The other 3 are sort of hostile towards me. :confused3
What is your favorite thing about your job? The pay and free food.
What is your least favorite thing about your job? The salad bar and my feet hurting. I DESPISE doing salad bar. It's ickyyyyyy.
Would you reccomend people to work there? Yes, absolutely.
Are you good at what you do? I think so. On the register Monday night I didn't have any 'over rings' (basically when you screw up and have to void something.) and I was only 1 penny short. That's really great when they hope people aren't short more than 2 DOLLARS.
When you first started, what were you most nervous about? TRAINING! BK was horrible, awful at training so I was worried that most places ran like that. They are so much better, I was very relieved.
What are little things you do to make your shift go by faster? I try not to look at the clock, and I also try not wishing for the shift to be over until way later in the shift.
Are there any dress requirements? Yessum. We have to wear these black t-shirts with the CiCi's logo on it. Black pants. Black shoes. And a black hat. Did I mention how much I hate black? Anyways, we also have to wear a apron, tuck our shirt in, and the girls must have their hair up.
Do you visit your work place often when you are not working? I eat there a lot before and after my shift.
What are the customers like that come there? On Tuesdays a lot of older people come in because it's Senior discount day. A lot of them are regulars and so so friendly.
Are they usually friendly/snobby/mean/etc? Most of the time they are super friendly and talkative. I love how they treat me like an equal instead of looking down upon me for working a parttime job.
Do you have many regulars that you've gotten to know? There's this one lady who always comes in wearing Disney shirts. She loves hearing about my WDW trips.
Any of the quirks to know about? The girls don't usually tuck their shirts in. I for one HATE tucking my shirt in so I just fold up the ends to make it appear more like it is tucked in. They are not all that strict anyways.
Any funny stories you'd like to share? Last weekend a co-worker was showing me how they make the sweet tea and we had to go fill this pitcher up with sugar (we are in the south, duh. ;)) but the bucket the sugar is usually in was empty. So we went to get this big guy who cooks the pizza to help us. We was messing around with the sugar bag and started punching it, welll......ya. His fist went right through the paper bag and sugar started POURING out. We had to clean it up quick before the manager saw but I just couldn't stop laughing. I was hysterical, it was simply hilarious. I was useless, I can't function until I stop giggling. Lol.

The pay is also one thing I hate hate hate about this job. They are so cheap and only wanna pay minimum wage. Maybe I'll get a raise soon! Not likely. :(

But around here, it's gonna be around the same for any job that I can get.

Well, this may not count as a 'real' job, but it is what I do. Or what I did do, I can't take any more commissions until school is over.

Where do you work? In my house! Or at a studio, if I am lucky.
What is your job title? Portrait artist, I suppose.
What duties does that consist of? It means I draw portraits, of people, their friends/family/ect as well as pets.
How much do you make per hour? It really depends. However, an average portrait would go from $25 to $50, and I would estimate 5-10 hours on an average graphite portrait.
About how many hours do you work weekly? If I have a commission (I can never spell that word) I do try to get it done in a week or two, so at least a few hours, anywhere from 5-20, depending on the piece. Larger works can take a month, and many more hours.
About how many hours do you work daily? 1-3, depending. Sometimes as little as 15 mins.
What shift do you usually work? Whenever I can spare.
How do you like your co-workers? My pencils. Sure. Not very talkative though.
How do you like your bosses/boss? I like myself fine. My clients are pretty nice.
What is your favorite thing about your job? It's fun, I enjoy the work and people are generally very happy with their portrait.
What is your least favorite thing about your job? Eh, messing up a portrait, getting it smudged or having something spill on it and having to start from scratch.
Would you reccomend people to work there? If you can do it, portraits are a good way to start getting noticed as an artist in a community and the easiest way to sell art (at the student level I couldn't dream of selling anything in a gallery of the top).
Are you good at what you do? I hope so. No complaints yet.
When you first started, what were you most nervous about? Oh, the people not liking the portrait.
What are little things you do to make your shift go by faster? Music.
Are there any dress requirements? Something comfortable, that can get pencil/paint on it.
Do you visit your work place often when you are not working? Yes. It's my house.
What are the customers like that come there? They do not come to my house, I send them the art, by mail or in person. They are usually nice, sometimes weird, but all nice so far.
Are they usually friendly/snobby/mean/etc? Friendly, and very willing to provide the picture references.
Do you have many regulars that you've gotten to know? No, not really.
Any other quirks to know about? I don't interact with them much.
Any funny stories you'd like to share? Not funny, but on one of my very first commissions a few years ago, I did a colored pencil painting of several of the customers pets, one of them being a beautiful black standard poodle. However, on giving them their portraits, I found out that said poodle died while I was working on the portrait. Very sad, and very awkward.

Where do you work? AMC Theatres

How do you like your co-workers? love em
How do you like your bosses/boss? they are great
What is your favorite thing about your job? free movies, goofing around, ushering shifts(=watching movies during your entire shift), social events, getting free posters, getting to see movies before they are released to the public
What is your least favorite thing about your job? sometimes there is too much drama with my co-workers (the staff is all 15-20 yr olds...so it gets a little soap opera-y)
Would you reccomend people to work there? yusss!!
Are you good at what you do? well it's not that difficult...and idiot could do it.
When you first started, what were you most nervous about? handling money & being fast (they stress that you need to be "friendly, helpful, clean & fast")

Do you visit your work place often when you are not working? yes, free movies HELLOOO
What are the customers like that come there? generally really stupid & ignorant

Do you have many regulars that you've gotten to know? this old guy in a wheelchair used to come aaaalll the time...and he got offered a job so now he rips tickets on weeknights. it's awesome he is sooo sweet. other than that no
Any other quirks to know about? no one tucks in their shirt at AMC either, we just fold them under. When ushering, we just basically throw ALL the garbage under the seats (and hope that no one loses anything of importance there!!) and the carpets are super absorbent...so we've done many an 'expiriment' with them. another fun thing is popcorn expiriments, putting tons of salt in, tons of oil etc. it's just generally loads of fun (minus idiot guests)
Any funny stories you'd like to share? too many. too many bad stories to of idiot guests.

What is your least favorite thing about your job? mostly everything. haha
Would you reccomend people to work there? ehhh... they pay reallly well, and are flexible with hours...
Are you good at what you do? i guess? I dont really know anything about what Lowe's sells, so if the customer has a question on the item i cant help, but otherwise I'm fine.
When you first started, what were you most nervous about? not knowing anything about what Lowe's sells
What are little things you do to make your shift go by faster? talking to coworkers, even though we aren't supposed to do that... lol
Are there any dress requirements? yeah... sneakers, jeans/black/khaki pants, shirts with no visible writing/logos (no tank tops), our Lowe's vests.
Do you visit your work place often when you are not working? never, unless it's to pick up my check. :)
What are the customers like that come there? depends... sometimes there are the creepy old contrators (especially prevelent if you work the 6am opening shift), or there are the families who are redoing their house
Are they usually friendly/snobby/mean/etc? normally everyone is friendly, but there are those snobby ridiculous people...
Do you have many regulars that you've gotten to know? there's this one contractor who always comes to my line if I'm working... he's creepy though
Any other quirks to know about? not really... oh, and I hate working outside in the lawn and garden part... too hot and my allergies hate me out there

I hope this counts, because it's only a summer job :)

Where do you work? Pocantico Hills Day Camp
What is your job title? Junior Counselor. I work in Studio (which is like the theater).
What duties does that consist of? I'm an assistant to the two guys in charge (one is 17, the other is 18), so that means I think up theater games with them and whatnot. But the main job I have is choreographer. I choreograph the dances that the 8 groups do in the camp show, then teach each different one to them, and every day we rehearse it. It seems really easy, but it's definitely not.

How do you like your bosses/boss? He's okay. No one is crazy about him. Funny thing is, he adores me. He offered me the job (I was a CIT in the same position last year) without another interview, like he made everyone else get. It was flattering, but he's still not the nicest boss in the world when it comes to other things.
What is your favorite thing about your job? I love those kids. And the other counselors are so sweet, we're like one big family. There are counselors that have been going to Poco as campers since they were in Pre-K. I went as a camper in 4th and 5th grade. It's an amazing camp.
What is your least favorite thing about your job? I would say nothing. It can be very draining sometimes, but it's so fun.

The kid is best friends with my sisters, who are also at the pool everyday in the summer. Basically, she plays with my sisters the whole time, and I talk to my mom, text, read, and sunbathe, while kinda watching out for her. It's seriously the easiest job ever. I'm really lucky to have it.
