Wordle- Who is playing?

interesting. closest I've come is to check to see if my go to start word has ever been the wordle. It has. I'm still using it.

I have checked the list twice, and decided both times to just ignore it. Yet, three times I have picked the word on the first try.

I also broke a streak. Interesting how some of you play this game. I don’t keep lists and I change my starting word all the time, although there are several I use frequently. But some days I just pick something random that pops in my head. Still have a 99% win rate.

I use the same starter word every time. I used a different one originally until it was the word then switched to this one and will use it until it hits. I don't keep a list and very rarely reference the online "previously used word" websites. The only time I look at it is if I have one chance left and more than one option in mind. Then, I'll check to see if any of them have already been used. I think I've done that three times at most. I had the right word today but then thought of a different one at the last minute. Wish I stayed with the right one!

There's all kinds of Wordle resources online. You have to be careful because some of them just tell you the answer or give you a ton of hints such as # of vowels or if there are repeated letters. I don't use those as it would defeat the purpose of trying to figure it out but stumbled upon them once when looking for a list of previously used words. The one I've used is rockpapershotgun 'cuz it's an alphabetical list. As I mentioned I only use it if I'm on guess 6 and have a few choices left.

I used to keep a really good list when I had a lot of time on my hands (played with stats on how often letters occurred and stuff) but lately I've let it go.

Thanks for the info. I play the games for fun and don’t take it too seriously. Would rather challenge myself to solve without help, but to each their own.

I sometimes use a hint page for Connections. You do have to be careful if you don’t want answers, just a hint.

When I played regularly, I would try to make sure my starting word did not contain the letters in the previous day’s word. That usually worked for me, but these days I don’t even remember and I don’t have the time to keep track, lol.
