Wording Invitations

I'm making invitations for my best friend's wedding.

She's having a very simple wedding on the beach, followed by dinner in a private room at a restaurant nearby.

She's blocked off a row of hotel rooms at the hotel next door to the restaurant (at a discount!) that way people can book them if they wish to not have to drive home that evening.

I'm not sure if it's proper to put this in the invitation? they're very laid back invites, and I have a seperate insert I was going to put the location of the dinner, and also that there are discounted hotel rooms available for anyone wishing to stay the night.

is this tacky?? I've never made wedding invitations before!

What I've always seen is a separate insert with the hotel's information (including the information on how to book with the discount) put in with the invitation. In fact, we just got an invitation last week, and it had just this insert (just printed out on a color printer) in it. We appreciated the information and did end up booking a room!

On the actual invite, I'd put the ceremony info.. the normal stuff like ceremony location, date, time, etc. Then I'd put "Dinner to follow at X o'clock at [Restaurant Name]". Then on a separate "accomodations" insert, I'd put the hotel information - along with directions to the hotel and to the restaurant. If the restaurant is really close to the beach (like, you can see it from the beach) then I'd probably just do directions to the beach & hotel and not to the restaurant.

YMMV, though. I've been fussing over wedding invitation wording for the past couple weeks now so I might be a little crazy at this point.
