A woot off is different from regular woot, because during the woot off they refresh the item when the previous one sells out - during regular woot they only have one item per day. This way there's constantly a new item up for sale. Sometimes the prices are a bit lower too.
Actually, the only thing I wanted during this woot-off I got a bit ago - the 1.3 megapixel camera. Bonus is that this one has Tinkerbell on it! I wanted a small, inexpensive camera to keep in my purse, and this is perfect. Got an extra one for my mom to keep with her work stuff too, as she constantly has to take photos of displays for work.
With Woot dot com, they typically put up one thing, say a camera. They may have 5,000 to sell that day. If they sell them all... that's it. Nothing more to buy. During the "Woot Off" they sell multiple smaller lots. So maybe they start with 100 cameras. When those have all been bought, they change the item - maybe a laptop. They sell all of that quantity and change again. But most days, its one item - and when its gone, they're done for the day.
