So....what kind of request should I put in for where to stay? We'll be staying Sept. 19-26th in a studio with our son who will be 15 months. Can't wait! We are celebrating our birthdays (my 30th and DH's 40th). What is a good location for the Beach Club when you've got a little one? We are hoping not to rent a car.

Have a great day!!

We were just there in May with 2 little ones and requested a large balcony on a higher floor. Got studio 560 and the balcony was HUGE and it was on the top floor overlooking the quiet pool.

Check out http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/ for info on rooms at BCV. We loved having a large balcony as we could put our stroller out there and sit outside with a beer while the little ones slept.

that is the PERFECT answer, thank you! i don't think my little guy will fall asleep if we are sitting there in the room with him staring at him! but after we put him down we could sit out on the balcony and relax after our long day! thank you! i will call today to put in that request!

and thanks for the link - this is great :thumbsup2

Congratulations - - we, too, are staying at BCV for the first time in September and couldn't be more excited.

Congratulations. Enjoy the Beach Club and your Vacation. I'm sure you will have a great time. :cloud9:

We're taking our first trip home there next May and I can't wait!!! Have fun and congrats!!

Don't just request that one room, your chances of getting it are slim to none,
using the link provided request as many different rooms as you think you would like. All the studios will have a balcony, some will be larger than others, keep in mind some units may be HA meaning no tub.
I personally like the pool view, it gives you something to look at at night while sitting on the balcony, although it can be a little more noisy because people will be in the pool till all hours of the night and the lights are on all night.
My favorite room is 228 which is a HA studio with the largest balcony at the resort, it is right near the main elevators meaning a short walk to the pool/spa, the marketplace, the main BC lobby and the bus stop. I've gotten it several times, and hope to again in Sept and Nov.
Hope you enjoy BCV!

good info! does HA mean handicapped accessible? since we don't need that i wonder if they would give it to us?

as much as i'd like the pool view, i think maybe a woods view would be better since we'll most likely be going to bed early (our son goes to bed around 7ish and is almost always up by 5am so we hit the hay early)

HA does mean handicap accessible, and would have a rollin shower in place of the tub, that may be a little awkward with bathing the little one.
Some good woods view studios would be 222, 227, 243, 322, 327, 343, 422, 427, 443, 527 and 543. They should all have some views of the fireworks at 9pm each night.
222, 322, 422 would be the best and would also be the closest to the elevator. None of those listed are HA.
If you listed all of those on your reservation plus some of the pool view rooms you should have a pretty good chance of getting one.
I'll be there 9/4 - 9/9 and am hoping I will get one of my requests. Lets us know how you make out.

I'm sure you will love the resort, I certainly do, as you can tell by my sig, Sept and Nov will be my 26th and 27th stays there since 2002.
I'll be at OKW in July with DS, DIL and 2 granddaughters, Sept and Nov will be solo trips so far, never know if someone will decide to tag along.
Can't get enough of WDW!!!

can i tag along!?!?!??!
thanks for this great info - i really appreciate it! i won't be able to request the HA room because the one thing we DO need is a tub for the baby but i will definitely request some of the other rooms!

can't wait to get there! anything at BCV would should make sure to do/see as we celebrate our birthdays??

You will definately want to spend some time at SAB I'm sure, it is the best pool on property with a great area with a sandbar that will be perfect for the little one. It shouldn't be too crowded in Sept. All my grandkids grew up in it.

Beaches and Cream is a must do at least once, not that the food is anything special but at least you can say you've been there, get there early the wait can be long, it's a small place.

The walk over to the Boardwalk in the early evening is nice and some nights there are sidewalk entertainers.

Let them know at MS or the front desk about the birthdays, they will probably do something to recognize it. Yachtman's Steakhouse would be a great place to celebrate a birthday, make sure to have an ADR or get there promptly at 5 and they can probably get you in. Great place if you like steak albeit a little pricey.

When going to EPCOT take the path that leads behind the BC resort, it's a bit faster.

Look for the alligator near the bridge leading to the villas parking lot.

Is BCV your home resort, if so "Welcome Home".

Enjoy your stay!

there's a path that is behind the BC? hmm, i'm familiar with taking the int'l gateway to BC but i didn't realize there were multiple paths...

wait wait wait....an alligator?? like, a real one?? um...dangerous???

SSR is my home resort but BCV will be our first DVC stay - i'm still thinking that i'm "home" since it's a DVC resort :) we'll be at SSR in Dec and Jan!

i'm really looking forward to SAB as i've heard so many great things about it. we've eaten at cape may cafe and walked thru the gift shop but haven't spent any significant time exploring the resort! can't wait to take my little guy in that pool!

thank you again for your great advice...can't WAIT!!
